   Extremely disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this salon. I came in for a hair colour appointment with clear expectations—I brought reference photos and explained exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, what I ended up with was nothing close to what I asked for. The colour was completely off, and not in a subtle way—it looked rushed and poorly matched to what we had discussed and left me with a banding of colour and orange tones where the blonde had been over lapped, I made Gillian aware as soon as she dried my hair off, even having to ask her to apply more toner around my face frame as it was orange not blonde . To make matters worse, I was charged £298, which is absolutely outrageous considering the result. This wasn’t a luxury colour experience, and the price was never made clear upfront. I expected a level of professionalism and skill that simply wasn’t delivered. When I politely raised my concerns, I was met with indifference. No apology, no offer to fix it, no partial refund—just a dismissive attitude as if my feedback didn’t matter. I left the salon not only unhappy with my hair, but also feeling completely taken advantage of financially. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to warn others. If you’re thinking of booking here—especially for colour—I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

   It was my first time at Gillian’s & she did not disappoint! I hadn’t had a haircut in ages, & Gillian brought my hair back to life with the magic in her hands. Definitely gained a loyal customer. Points for the warm welcome & excellent customer service too!!!

   I had my hair washed, cut and styled by Millie and was a bit apprehensive since it was my first time at the salon. As soon as I walked in, it was a warm and welcoming vibe and I felt instantly at ease. Millie was extremely professional throughout and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Everyone working at this salon is lovely and genuinely and I was absolutely delighted with how my hair turned out. 48hrs later and it still looks like I am fresh out of the salon! I have already booked my next two appointments and can’t wait to go back - this will become my regular hair salon. Also extremely good value for money. 10/10 experience!

   I attended Gillian Reilly today, the first time I have been to a salon in years. My hair was very long, dull with lots of dead ends. Millie was outstanding. From the wash and relaxing massage to advising how best to bring my hair back to life, she did an amazing job with the cut and blow dry. It now looks so much nicer and healthier.    Had the pleasure of Olivia cutting my hair today. My hair was long, shapeless and dull and Olivia completely restyled it and gave it a whole new lease of life. She was friendly, attentive and I love the outcome of her work. Clean salon, friendly staff and would definitely recommend booking with Olivia.

   Was bored with the same old haircut I've had for years and wanted something new. Kacy was not only as excited as I was to try a new colour (rose gold) but also did a beautiful job. I have never dyed my hair before so I was really glad for all the advice, professionalism and friendly atmosphere at the salon to make me feel more comfortable and confident.    I visited this salon today for the first time and had a cut and blow dry, a deal bought via Groupon. From the time I walked through the door to the time I left I felt so comfortable and at ease - the staff are very friendly, welcoming and genuinely willing to ensure you have a fabulous experience whilst in the salon. Following a consultation and exchange of idea's between myself and stylist Gillian, she set to work and cut my hair. I felt relaxed throughout and am absolutely over the moon with the finished result. The salon itself is very modern and clean - this is a hidden gem in the centre of town and I am thrilled to have stumbled across it - will definitely be returning and would 100% recommend to anyone thinking about using this salon.
