You don't want to shop here! General mayhem in the aisles among customers and staff, it is like playing bumping cars. Plenty of parking - on paper - but not particularly convenient as there are either jams or quite a bit of walking. This place makes for a stressful shopping experience!

Tesco vs Costco In my view Tesco gives a far better experience. Tesco is large British retailer; Costco is a massive US retailer. Opening hours: Tesco 24 hours, Costco just 11-2030. Checkout: Tesco: normal, self-scan or scan as you go, Costco: just normal. Costco also makes the customer queue twice, a disorganised queue at the checkouts, then again on exit. Since Costco Reading offered petrol, it has been a horrible, far too crowded experience. Parking: Both have plenty of parking, although the parking can be further from the Tesco store. Price: Costco prices are about the same as Tesco own brand, (not counting offers), but for Costco you have to pay a membership fee and can only buy in bulk.

This store has been in Chineham shopping center for about 40years, it looks a bit tired. No coffee shop and petrol was more expensive than Winchester Wouldn't go back there out of choice

Horrible Shopping Experience at Tesco (Chineham) Today, I decided to visit the Tesco store in Chineham, and I was absolutely shocked. I bought 2 kg of chicken drumsticks. The packaging was simply unacceptable — it was beyond any criticism. But even that could have been overlooked. However, what I discovered inside when I opened the package was simply horrific. These chicken drumsticks needed to be shaved! It seems the producer of this product decided that the customer should be responsible for shaving chicken legs. The assortment in Tesco's meat department is simply disgusting. Primarily, it's just chicken breasts. The beef is even worse. The pork is absolutely terrible. Prices have soared, and the service has gone completely downhill. I will no longer be visiting this store. They can eat those feathers themselves. I'm simply disappointed.

Good. Be better if they didn't keep cancelling internet orders

I’m writing about the click and collect service from this Chineham Supermarket. I give it 3 stars because when ordering there are no instructions sent telling you where to collect the items other than you need a smartphone. Indeed you DO NEED a smartphone when collecting. On arriving at the store we had to ask 2 members of staff where click and collect was. The first person didn’t know. We were told it was in the top car park. After walking up to the car park there was no signage that said Tesco Click and Collect. I had to ask a trolley collector and I was pointed to an area where there was a purple sign saying entry. No mention of Tesco click and collect. I then saw some shoppers queuing and asked what we then had to do. They directed me to a red QR code reader. Again no labelling to say it was linked to Tesco Click and collect. The reader worked and then the phone asked me to confirm name and car registration number. We were on foot as we collecting 2 items! I was able to enter NONE. Having got through that part of the process we were in a queue and waited about 10-15 minutes for our items to appear. If we had not seen anybody in the top car park to ask we would not have had a clue what to do. I hope this review helps people doing click and collect for the first time. I’ll stick to my Sainsbury’s online ordering in the future. It just happens that Tesco sell a particular gammon on the bone product only they sell and is excellent for Christmas time.

Good branch, most of staff are great but the lady on the customer service desk needs to be kept away from customers, she’s really rude.

We've been shopping here for several years without any real complaints (apart from the constant moving of goods around the store which creates chaos!). However, instead of increasing the range of packed fresh meat available since the butcher counter was closed, the selection (size and range) seems to have been reduced. So much so, I'm sure that I'm not the only one thinking (actually, being forced to) or have already moved their business to another supermarket (which I really don't want to do). In addition (I think this goes for all stores), Tesco need to find a solution to the huge shopping trolleys being used by their staff for home delivery. If there is more than one in an aisle, it is blocked and the staff really don't appear to be aware of this. Very often their trolleys are in the middle of the aisle and no one get passed. Either further in-house training is needed or managers need to walk the aisles to give on the job guidance. Tesco don't appear to have a way to provide this type of feedback on their web site which is why I've resorted to a google review.

Largest Tesco around the town. Absolutely wide range of collection of all items ranging from grocery, clothes to mobiles and vision care. They have bakery to butchery. The worldfood section has collection of Chinese, Indian, Romanian foods. As compared to other superstores, it is as expensive as others! The best thing is convenience. The tills and self checkout are there. The staffs were there.
