    Wow. What a wonderful little store. We went in there yesterday and enjoyed browsing through the delicious offerings. But what a delight the jam donut was! That alone would be worth the trip there! They only have them on Friday and Saturdays but they were soo delicious! Light, full of jam and had you smacking your lips and licking your fingers. Of course, this is supported by wonderful service and banter. Would definitely go back!

    There is a row of car parking spaces in front of this quaint village shop. The local lanes are narrow in places so extra care is needed driving on sometimes single track roads. A beautiful old fashioned shop ❤️

    The shop was open before 0730 and serving hot drinks to it's regular customers. A vast selection of goods from mini supermarket fare to quality alcoholic gift sets. Also a Post Office although not open at the time. Highly recommended.

    The Village Stores and Post Office is one of the most important focal points of village life at Yattendon. There has been a shop in Yattendon since the 1600s and it currently offers a Post Office counter and provides a wide range of convenience foods for local residents including produce from Vicars Game, West Berkshire Brewery and The Wineman. The Estate took over the running of the shop in late 2014 and Edward Iliffe, son of Lord Iliffe, was appointed Postmaster. He immediately embarked on major plans with his Post Office and store manager Andy Milford, to modernize and to extend the premises. The comprehensive work took five months.
