   Went to this Tesco this evening with my daughter (12) and friend. Went to buy a redbull on a separate self checkout to my friend and daughter … man comes and asks for ID it checks out, then very rude woman behind the till says to check everyone’s … my daughter is clearly not an adult and didn’t have a form of ID because again she’s a child and I was refused service. I normally wouldn’t mind but the woman’s attitude was vile and unfriendly she made my daughter cry

   Tesco: Kempshott, Buckingham Parade, Basingstoke. The bins outside the entrance to the store have been overflowing for the past two weeks. I reported this to an assistant today (Sat 22/2/2025) and she said she was too busy to empty the bins.

   Stopped using it over a year ago unless an absolute emergency. Bad stock control. Lots of food that has passed its sell by date on many occasions. They always seem to be stacking shelves and cartons / trollies blocking the aisles and causing a general Health and Safety risk! Very badly managed.

   Today I was charged twice for groceries using my debit card, then told by the cashier that the system required a signature but they do not do signature transactions. Then refused to give me the goods which I had paid for... twice. All I left with was a phone number for a manager how has not responded. Nice welcome back to the UK #Tesco

   DO NOT USE FOR EVRI I have used this store a handful of times for sending/receiving Evri parcels. Every time has been a pain in the a*se. My partner and I have been 3 times this week alone - the first time their Evri machine wasn’t working so I could collect a parcel but not send one. My partner went a few days later and the machine was still broken - he was told he couldn’t send or collect any parcels, and they didn’t know when the machine would be fixed. I went today and was told “we can’t do anything between 2:30 and 4:30pm because of the school rush” - there was nobody else in the queue! The woman on checkout hurried me on to her manager who said “it’s a head office decision, there’s nothing we can do. There is a sign on the door which says” Another person who was also there to send parcels overheard the conversation and asked why he had been turned away from sending his parcels the other night - the manager said she didn’t know. Staff there are generally passive aggressive, lots of “mms” and smiles which don’t reach the eyes. They couldn’t care less, they just want you gone so you aren’t their problem anymore. I shall attempt to collect my parcels later today, after which I’ll never go there for parcels or shopping again.
