Great service, the whole team is very friendly and makes you feel relaxed and at ease. Andy is very professional has a good listening ability to interpret my requests, he works quickly and accurately with his hands, the ability to chat with clients in an easy manner , a caring, positive attitude.
Such a hidden gem, all the staff appear to be respectful of each other and yet consider the customer at all times (no mindless chatter about going out boozing like some hair salons) the staff offered advice about the style I requested and i felt “guided” into what was best for my hair. Will definitely return and recommend
I was pleasantly surprised that this hairdresser's supports donations for The Little Princess Trust. Lovely people and environment. The hairdresser was very attentive and I was very happy with the result. She also knew about hair donation and helped me get it right. Everyone was very kind and I was in a really good mood when I stepped out, would definitely come back for my next haircut and my next donation.

Having visited many salons over the years, I have to say Alfred is the best. I have very long hair, which I also have lightened, and the cutting expertise in this Salon is so good that my hair is always in top condition, as if each hair has been tended to individually! Despite the fact that I often see Derby's great and good (wealthy business men and women) in the salon, it has a completely friendly, unpretentious atmosphere. This is largely to do with the high level of repeat custom. It's no wonder the salon has thrived for over 25 years in Sadler Gate. Derby's premier hairdresser in it's most prestigious street.
