I recently had hair extensions fitted by stylist Evie Cotton, and my experience was extremely disappointing. In my case, the extensions were applied so poorly that they pulled out my natural hair, and I ultimately had to have them removed by a professional. During the removal, I was told the fitting appeared to be done incorrectly. When I mentioned this to Evie to explain what happened and to say I wouldn’t be returning to have them moved up, I expected at least some acknowledgement of the issue and some sort of genuine apology. Instead, the response I received came across as dismissive and unnecessarily sassy, she kept messaging me until I had to block her, which only made the situation worse. Very rude and unprofessional behaviour. Based on my experience, I would not recommend getting extensions from this stylist — definitely get your extensions elsewhere. The quality of the application and the way the situation was handled were both far below what I would expect. IN RESPONSE: to the salon owners response… Your response only reinforces my original experience. Evie was not sincerely apologetic, and considering the damage caused to my hair, your attempt to deflect responsibility is extremely unprofessional. Instead of acknowledging the issue, you chose to insist nothing was done wrong, which is exactly why I would never return to your business or recommend you to anyone. You also claim the communication from Evie was “professional,” yet her messages were rude and defensive from the start. She continued messaging me even after I had made it clear the conversation was over, and I eventually had to block her. How is that considered professional behaviour? Also, don’t twist my words. I said — and I quote — “The hair around the extensions came out from the root, which shows they were not fitted correctly. I want to be clear on this. Full stop. Next sentence: you may want to consider more training before working on anyone else as what I experienced was unacceptable.” If you’re going to quote me, quote me properly and not in a way that suits your narrative. For clarity, my extensions were removed after only two weeks. Hair all the way around the extensions should not have been pulled out from the root after just two weeks — that alone shows something was not right with the fitting. Also, the quote you used, “Consider yourself fortunate that I haven’t spoken up sooner,” was also taken out of context. What I actually said in full was: “Consider yourself fortunate that I haven’t spoken up sooner. I’m extremely dissatisfied with how things have been handled…” If you’re going to reference my messages, you should quote them honestly and accurately. And another point: the conversation should have ended when I said — and I quote — “At this point I have nothing further to say.” Instead, she responded with yet another lecture about how nothing was her fault. She only stopped messaging me once I had blocked her. You should not be contacting customers repeatedly after they’ve clearly stated they have nothing further to say, that is not why you have our number. If the extensions were fitted too tightly — as the damage clearly showed — a genuine apology and an acceptance that mistakes can happen would have gone a long way. Instead, the response I received attempted to lecture me about shedding and imply the problem was my understanding rather than the fitting itself. I stand by my original statement: Evie should consider further training before working on anyone else. My experience makes that abundantly clear. Your reply to my review has only confirmed to me that professionalism and accountability are lacking, and I would not recommend your services to anyone.

I visited the salon today for a blow dry with Colette and she was amazing! She made me feel welcome right away and took the time to ask what style I was going for. The blowout came out absolutely beautiful—sleek, bouncy, and full of volume without feeling heavy or stiff. She clearly knows what she’s doing and has a great eye for detail. I walked out feeling confident and pampered. I'll definitely be back!

I had the best experience with Ami! From start to finish, her customer service was amazing — she was friendly, professional, and really took the time to listen to what I wanted. Ami delivered exactly what I was looking for and even offered a few suggestions that turned out absolutely amazing. I’m in love with my hair and couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommend Ami if you’re looking for someone who truly cares and knows her craft!

after not having my hair cut for some time due to COVID. I got a last minute appointment with Emily, it was a fabulous wash, cut and blow dry. The head massage was amazing! I was heading to a hen party afterwards, she curled my hair for the occasion.

First time at the salon. Excellent experience. Visited to try out the new snake venom facial with Laura. She was very welcoming and professional and explained everything and made me feel very relaxed and confident in the facial itself. I found the facial very beneficial and could see an instant difference in my skin I would definitely have the facial again.

Visited for the first time tonight after receiving a gift voucher for my birthday, and I’m so, so impressed! From booking on the same day and being talked through the treatment options that would suit me, the girls made me feel so welcome, I was greeted like a friend! They couldn’t stop apologising for the small delay (due to others turning up late, not their fault) Laura really is a master at her skill I felt totally at ease for a demaplane facial. I will happily travel half an hour to have such an expert beautician!

I was visiting Burton for just one day from South Wales. I was lucky enough to get an appointment for my nails. What a fab place... really made to feel welcome. Professional but relaxed vibe. The best my nails have ever looked and lasted so well. If it wasn't so far from home would always go there.
