   So far, mine and my husband’s experience with Floor Giants Hedge End, Southampton has been a positive one. Although we had a good idea of what we wanted and had already taken some measurements, Gaz was extremely helpful in helping us pick exactly what we were looking for and was more than happy to make arrangements for Harry to come out and check our measurements and advice as to our requirements regarding underlay, door bars, etc. Both Gaz and Harry were very pleasant and knowledgeable, their expertise and advice helped us no end. We haven’t had the laminate fitted yet but once we do we will edit this review to reflect our full experience with Floor Giants.

   We are very pleased with the results of our new Golden Oak engineered wood flooring. When we went into the shop Mark explained everything regarding the fitting and as we were going to have the herringbone style he recommended one of their most experienced self-employed fitters, Matt Rowe. Fitting costs are extra, payable to the fitter and Floor Giants gave us a ball park figure of approx 2 days to do the job and ours took 3½ days because of the extra work cutting and fitting the new skirting boards. Mark had also said that the skirting boards may get damaged when removing before fitting the flooring, so we were prepared for this. Our house was built in the 1980’s and the shirting boards were nailed in with large nails, so all the skirting boards had to be replaced after they were removed because they were pine and split easily. This wasn’t a problem as Wickes had good stocks of Ogee skirting board and we were able to purchase the required amount and had plenty of time to put several coats of stain on before the fitting was completed. This resulted in the finished job looking better anyway. Matt was absolutely superb and we were so glad that we had him to do the work. He has many years experience and was not only meticulous but also a tidy worker. He also took particular care to blend all the variations in colours for the best possible look. Very happy.

   Excellent Advice and Service from Matt at Floor Giants - Eastleigh - Southampton. Matt is very Professional, knowledgeable and was a great assistance to us in selecting and pricing of the vinyl flooring for our lining room and dinning room upgrade. We chose "Brampton Chase" "Natural Oak" with the wider planks (9 inches) and integral underlay. We purchased 40 sqm and we ordered really late but Matt did a great job in getting our delivery in time to meet our schedule. Brampton Chase-Natural Oak planks have variable coloured planks in each box, which makes for a great floor when laid but needs a little more care when laying to avoid repeat planks side by side etc. The overall effect is excellent and we are Very Happy with it and would Highly Recommend - Matt, Floor Giants and Brampton Chase-Natural Oak Having laid the new floor and needing to move the very heavy furniture back into the rooms and not wanting to scratch our new floor, we used the :- 5" and 4" inch Hard Surfaces - Square Felt Sliders - cut to size Kept in place with double sided tape, which allowed us to move the heaviest peaces with ease and no scratching, having made sure the floor was well cleaned first!

We were so impressed by Matt's knowledge, helpfulness and willingness to listen- it was the first time I felt confident that my questions were being answered by someone who knew what they were talking about! We were able to take samples home and returned a few days later to make an order at a very good price. We would thoroughly recommend this business.
