James absolutely nailed the brief ! This was my first time here and I was a bit nervous tbh. I love how James cut my hair, beautifully just as I wanted it to be, lots of long layers, bouncy blow dry, feathery hair and a lovely chat ahhh perfect. Finally found my salon in Aberdeen. James is very professional, very friendly and excellent at what he does, I have been delighted since going to James. I would like to thank James for running a great salon... the booking system is online so you can select your appointments when convenient to you, a reminder is also sent the day before which is great. On arrival the team are very friendly, and the girls serve a lovely latte! Best of all I have always left delighted with my hair!
Absolutely appalling. Went in for a hair done up for a Christmas party. After showing the staff member what I was looking for and that I was easy with options. I raised my concerns with what was done. She went on to say she couldn’t do my hair up and that I have to get a blow dry instead. Staff became very salty and unapproachable. Felt very intimidated and uncomfortable. Wouldn’t recommend going back. As an experienced hairdresser I would expect someone to be adaptable or at least recommend options. Very upset
Absolute disaster!!!!! My daughter went to Ruby Tuesday for a haircut with Jamie. She has curly hair and he’s cut her hair before she had it cut a few weeks ago from very long to a long bob however she just wanted a little more off and some layers. Jamie had previously cut her hair into a bob that was perfect and she showed him the photo of exactly the length she wanted. She was distraught when she got home!! He literally hacked all her hair off!!!! It’s not even a short bob it’s like a long curly pixie cut with chunks missing and the front omg it was supposed to be chin length but been cut to nose length with chunks missing and lopsided!!! How can a simple trim with a picture reference go so wrong!!! She has hardly any hair left!! He did refund her but refused to fix it and said he will never cut her again!!! He tried to Blame her hair !!!! Absolutely shocking excuse!!! her confidence is shattered. Will never go there again nor will she!!! He did a good job with my hair so I cannot understand how this total disaster happened!!! He didn’t even seem bothered at the mess he made and how it’s affected her!!! Devastating and shocking!!!!
Absolutely shocking. I went in for a trim and layers as I wanted my hair to sit chin length. I showed Jamie a picture of exactly what I wanted as he’d cut my hair before in that style and I explained where I wanted the length to be and he chopped off half of my hair!! He cut right into it before I could really see how much he was taking off and by then it was too late!! I had to go along with it, there was no going back after it was chopped into… thought it wouldn’t look as bad once I got home and styled it properly but my hair now sits nose length down my face!! At least 2-3 extra inches taken off that was not asked for or necessary, at the front 3-4 as it is extremely short! and it was healthy hair too! He was 15 minuets late for the appointment so I assume it was a rushed job with no care! Went in asking for a chin length bob and ended up leaving with a curly near enough pixie cut!! lop sided at the front and a chunk cut out too!!! How I have ended up like this after clear instruction and a photo is beyond me I have seriously never seen anything like it before, just as well I can pull off the look until it grows back in. I will NEVER go back to this salon again for any treatment I would stay clear especially if you have curly hair after the absolute state I have been left in!! I was given a refund but no offer to fix it and was met with awful attitude considering the outrageous circumstances you would think an apology would be due but nope, he blamed my hair for being curly!! was told he would never cut my hair again, well I would never let him near it again after this display! Please avoid this place!!
Go to Ruby Tuesday for treatment with Ally the beutician. Best LVL ever, great for waxing and eyebrow tints too. My daughter gets her nails done with Ally and they are beautiful. She is very particular and never rushes treatments.
After a bad haircut elsewhere I have avoided hairdressers for 2 years but took the plunge and got my haircut by Leanne.She talked me through it step by step while cutting to ease me and I love it. Thank you Leanne

I tried.... Called to make beauty treatment appointments and was told to make contact the beauticians directly on their mobile phone - (not the best service) but I did..twice.. Leaving a voice mail and a text was told she would be in contact 2 weeks now. No response!! .. Hey... no problem if you don't want my business.. There are plenty other brilliant beauticians out there!!.. Just have the decency to either let us know and respond!!.. Very disappointed.. The studio on Ellon Road have a far better system.. Go on line book yourself an appointment... DONE.. Not chasing some one to give them business.
How odd, I came back to this review site to see if someone had responded to my negative review and it had disappeared. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? I don't think so.. Not to worry, I'll put in another review as it's been really bugging me anyway so it has been on my mind. I was very disappointed in the service provided toward myself a week or two ago at Ruby Tuesday; although the staff were very friendly, the workmanship was appalling. I only went in for a very basic "no. 1 back and sides, short on top " and the hairdresser appeared to struggle with it. I went in after work looking a bit rough I guess and had my hat on, I don't think they liked that look because the hairdresser couldn't get me out of there quick enough! It wasn't a pleasant experience which is odd for a hairdresser, I'd normally put the dentist in that category. Anyway, I was hoping to have had a response by now but since my review was removed I'll have to go to another service provider to fix the shambles I was left with, as I'd be uncomfortable going in to talk to someone directly at the shop. That's why these reviews are great, they should be encouraging staff to keep on the ball, not everyone is good at complaining directly, I guess I'm one of them. The fact that the review can be removed doesn't seem very fair though, I wonder how long this one will be here for. Ruby Tuesday, take your time with us hat wearing workers, we have delicate scalps too!
