Used this firm recently and the experience was just bizarre. The team is terrible at getting the job done. If you're serious about selling, don't bother with this place. The former company was a lot more proactive. These ones will slap you a fat bill even when they've done nothing for you. Utter stress which isn't needed when selling.
While I opted to go for this firm based on the positive reviews, I left it necessary to share my experience. This company was certainly not the cheapest for conveyancing but I was advised to not cheap out on this process. Simply getting answers out of these guys for routine updates was a challenge. I had more useful conversations with the estate agents than the employees here. They were not up front about additional charges which meant the completion process was more of a headache than it needed to be. Expect if you're buying a leasehold property to have an extra 25% in cash compared to what you were quoted. I won't name and shame, but other reviews do indicate complaints about the same person! I guess they are taking on too much work and cannot give a proper level of service to their customers, or they just don't care. While it did get over the line in the end, a lot of the stress could have been alleviated by way of simple, honest communication. I wouldn't recommend anyone use this firm for conveyancing.
Kite Griffin used to be excellent but has clearly gone down hill since the merger with Foster Harrington (please note most of their positive reviews were before the take over). Before I instructed FH, I had asked them if they felt equipped to deal with an enquiry I had and Donna assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem and would advise after the contract pack had been received. Had to ask them to chase the contract pack after several weeks passed by and when they did finally get it, Ciara decided that was the time to tell us they weren’t able to advise and never had been. Ciara was unhelpful throughout, slow to respond causing delays, refused to call me to discuss matters and overall had a very bad attitude. We ended up parting ways with them during the process of purchasing a house as it was that bad.
Recently used Kite Griffin again for my house sale and purchase and they were brilliant. Chloe was mostly taking care of me but also Leanne as well. I cannot praise them enough as well as the whole team. Extremely professional, knowledgeable and always willing to take my calls or quickly come back to me. I am very grateful to Chloe who guided me all along the way and helped to make the process as smooth as possible, she was great to work with. I would highly recommend Kite Griffin for a property purchase and or sale, you will be in good hands and they will to a first class job.
What a fantastic team of people who work at Kite Griffin! I have nothing but positive words to say about everyone who helped me with the sale of my flat - particularly Chloe and Lauren, who have always gone above and beyond to ensure they respond to my questions very quickly and professionally. they are both extremely knowledgeable and you should not be worried as they will ensure the whole process is extremely smooth! Cannot recommend Lauren at Kite Griffin highly enough - fantastic service and extremely quick response times. I'd heard horror stories of slow response times from solicitors and was not looking forward to engaging one. However these guys are extremely professional and efficient despite us being first time buyers and potentially asking lots of questions
If you're thinking of purchasing your first home I would highly recommend Kite Griffin. Lauren Blackman was efficient and kept us informed, there was no need to chase because she was always on the ball. She's someone who clearly cares about her craft! The whole process from start to finish was smooth and enjoyable, I couldn't recommend Lauren and the team at Kite Griffin enough!
