   I attended the hospital today (2nd January 2026) at 12:00 due to breathing difficulties and left at 19:30. Although it was a long wait, it was clear that the staff were doing their utmost to provide friendly and supportive care. Over the course of the afternoon, I had blood tests, a heart check, a chest X-ray, and a chest CT completed. I would like to give special thanks to Dr Manan, who was professional, patient, and clear when explaining the situation and roughly how long each test would take. Every member of staff I encountered—from the reception team, the nurses who took my blood and inserted the cannula, to the teams in X-ray and CT, and the gentleman who guided us through the scanning process—was friendly, supportive, and worked with a smile. Thank you all for your help and care today!

   They make you wait 8 hours even if you go with chest pain Very unfortunate!!! What kind of system is here. No Pvt hospitals 24/7 so everyone has to rely on NHS. This service is not free for all. Migrants and many outsiders pay 1000£ per year as IHS and the medical system can’t afford more nurses and doctors ? If you have serious conditions, your life is at stake !

   Was triaged very quickly, then had an x-ray and treatment. Impressed by the speed of my treatment. All staff were incredible, they were very kind and understanding. Thank you A + E ❤️

   Don't bother with this hospital, they put you on the bottom of a list once they get rid of your pain, this is not ok as it it doesnot solve the problem, just covers it. The way they have treated my friend is disgusting after she was told she has kidney stones and she is still left untreated. One staff had even very rudely said told my friend to leave. #sortyourselvesout

   2 yrs ago my dad had acute pancreatitis and he threw up 7 times in a row, he was 70years old and crying in pain. The lady who checked blood pressure was alright but after we had to wait for the blood test where I felt very helpless when dad said he couldn't hold it anymore and started screaming more in pain in A&E room. Seeing dad I was in tears and ran back to reception where the guy said he cant help and I ran to a room (with beds)with couple of staffs dont know whether they were doctors or nurses but again they didnt help, just looked at me in shock. And one lady wearing navy blue came and shouted at me saying no matter what I have to wait for my turn, she said she cant give him painkillers and other people are in queue as well so told me to have a seat even tho i begged her. My dad was still crying so loud so i stayed with him and tried to calm him down. Long story short he passed away in hospital after a month and it still haunts me everyday that I couldnt help him that day in A&E. One question I would like to ask that rude nurse as I should have asked that day, "What would you have done as a daughter if you were in my place that day?"

   The paramedics were brilliant as I spent 5 hours in an ambulance whilst waiting for a bed. The nursing staff and the doctor who saw me, were polite under trying conditions. However, as of now,I am still in extreme pain. Given painkillers that do not work. Overall, I blame the ridiculous government for not funding the NHS adequately.

   I have no time for the mandatory face nappies. I consider the NHS not fit for purpose. An Xray . . . Yes. Blood-test . . . Yes. See a consultant . . . maybe. BUT . . . if you need surgery with a surgeon, anaesthetist and critical care nurses . . . I seriously doubt if the NHS can provide this. With 10m more people in the country since the year 2000 how is it supposed to cope.

   I brought my daughter here because she was sick and she had high temperature and her heart rate was high despite being told all this by the triage nurse we still had to wait over 7hrs and the staff were so rude and when I went to the reception desk to ask how much more we have to wait before my daughter will be seen the staff just laughed behind my back. Why do they work in such a place when they've got no empathy towards patients. Go learn some manners before u act like health proffesionals.

   Worst night of my life made us wait and staff were so rude they constantly kept making fun out of patients and laughed together at the fact that patients had to wait 8 n a half hrs. Staff spoke ever so rudely to patients especially the patients from ethical backgrounds. Triage told me my temperature and heart rate were really high and despite this they still made me wait like 10 hrs

   9 hours wait to see a doctor at the children's A&E last night. It's an absolute joke, they need help, they are understaffed and over worked. Most of the staff when we saw them were brilliant but they can not cope with the demand. That said there are some that prefer to stand around chatting and laughing than pulling their weight. To sit in a room full of poorly children who desperately need to be seen and see a group of staff having a gossip for over half an hour a time is infuriating. When we got there there was no receptionist, I asked multiple people how to book in and was told to wait and the receptionist would be back. An hour later a nurse comes out and says to book in by the phone as there is no receptionist at night! Then we saw a nurse briefly and put in another waiting room where we stayed for around 8 hours before seeing a doctor! There's no organisation and noone is motivated. Someone somewhere needs to do something. I feel so sorry for all the children that were there last night
