Went to the Gin School today with my wife and we loved it. Was met by Dec who was friendly and very easy to talk to. Dec told us all about the different flavours and combinations and then invited us to explore the large number of flavours and then talked to us about the choices we made and how best to match them, then it was time to brew our gin! Adter the weighing and measuring the stills were set and we waited for our gin to be made. Lots of drinks to be had whilst the brewing was underway. Would highly recommend the experience and we're already planning a return visit!

Withers Gins are simply delicious! We've tried several and I'd struggle to choose which is our favourite! Very special drinks with unique flavours. We're always excited when a new one comes out!

Happened upon a stall at the NEC Christmas show and stopped for a look and maybe a little taster! Got chatting to the lovely lady, who I believe was a family member, and couldn't resist buying a bottle of the heartsease and blackberry. Fantasticly smooth, flavourful gin and very happy to support independent family run business

I've visited a variety of gin schools from small to large distilleries and Withers Gin School offers a uniquely personal experience. Our host distiller Ed has experience running a range of gin schools & distilleries and this showed in his talk & how he interacted with our group - especially as we were a gaggle of gin lovers who knew a fair amount already but we all left with a few new gin facts! After an entertaining history of gin & explanation about why the key botanicals are used, we were let loose to sniff the wall of glass jars filled with over 60 botanicals - from the usual - bitter orange & lavender, to the unusual - beetroot & pinapple, to ones I've never heard of - mace blades & dried galangal. Once we had picked our preferred botanicals, Ed went over the recipe with us & made suggestions to improve the flavour. While the gin was distilling in our personal copper stills, we had a tour of their distilleries to see how a much bigger batch of gin was made, while enjoying a few glasses of the distilleries own Withers Gin & tonic served by the lovely Sarah Withers. They have 6 stills making 700ml bottles each (or 350ml if you share), so ideal for a group event to share or a great date evening with a partner. I left, slightly tipsy, with my own personal gin "Beeting Heart", a bottle of their G Shot Blackberry & Heartsease (great with fizz) & G Star (gingerbread). Great fun was had by all & I'd well recommend it!

I really do love the heartsease gin. In my opinion, it's much, much better than the pricey, mass-produced gins we can buy. It's also produced in small batches in Derbyshire and Sarah, the owner, is absolutely lovely. All power to her. Well done, Sarah!

Really nice gin. Crisp with a unique herbal note. Got it with a really nice glass. The bottle itself is pretty (does well converted to a lamp!) And the price was fair. Really pleased and will order again in the future.
