My daughter attended the clinic this afternoon to have her implant removed. She was told she couldn’t have it removed (after sepcifically being advised she could when she called in earlier in the week). She was bullied into having an STD test because the nurse didn’t believe that my daughter didn’t have one. My daughter wanted to have a break from contraception as the implant was making her feel unwell and she just wanted to feel like herself again but the nurse was not at all sympathetic and told her that if she didn’t want to get herself pregnant, she couldn’t rely on just condoms and that she would have to go straight on another pill or implant. My daughter left in tears feeling belittled and bullied. Not impressed.
