A lovely calm environment with excellent staff and pro active listening & treatment responses. I’m finally started to receive the help I need with horrible menopausal symptoms, I feel understood and confident that through the process I will soon feel back to being me.
I had a detailed asssessment, felt very listened to. Dr Horgan gave me all the options with good evidence to support . Being a health professional myself, I can say with absolute confidence, Dr Horgan is exceptional at what she does and clearly has a great passion for it too!
Seems strange that a man should go to the Female Health Clinic! However, I found that the clinic offers the Stockholm Test for Prostate Cancer which is far superior to the PSA test alone, the one offered by NHS. Booking was straightforward. Information provided was comprehensive and helpful. There was no 8 o'clock rush to get an appointment! Rachel, who took the blood test gave me time and was highly personable. If you are looking for an excellent prostate cancer test at a friendly location, then this is the test and this is the location.
I’ve been a patient at The Female Health clinic for HRT and their skin/beauty clinic for a few years but this was my first appointment with Dr Horgan. So lovely , friendly and reassuring. It’s such a relief to have plenty of time to really talk about all of my hormonal health, changes and feel completely trusting of a doctor. Would highly recommend
Excellent friendly service. From the moment I completed the online form I felt in safe hands. My menopause symptons were really challenging and now I feel like a new women. I received lots of advice and useful information. After a few weeks of treatment my life is back to normal. Everyone is discreet and caring. Money well spent, if you are in any doubt give them a call.
It is a wonderful place where everyone has time to listen and provide everything you need. It is so reassuring particularly at a time when it is almost impossible to see an NHS GP. The rs are very knowledgeable but explain things slowly and carefully. I left feeling reassured now and for the future.

Caring, compassionate, professional and knowledgeable about female hormonal problems, from the receptionists to the 24 hour phone line and the doctor I consulted. I felt listened to with understanding, given adequate time and filled with renewed hope that tailor-made treatment can be found to problems that have been poorly recognised for years.
I went to see Dr Helen Fawcett, after she was recommended to me. I had a very poor experience with HRT via my GP and had almost given up hope that I would ever feel like myself again. I am so glad that I went to see her. It was actually reading Davina McCalls book, 'Menopausing' that I felt inspired to try HRT again. Dr Fawcett listened to my own personal experience and symptoms, and advised on a progressive treatment plan, that I am really happy with. She took the time to explain everything to me, and I was really delighted to see the positive health benefits that HRT can bring. It is such a shame that services like this aren't available on the NHS. I feel very grateful that I was able to access private services, and the investment is SO worth it to me. It's a drop in the ocean, when I consider that my perimenopause symptoms are affecting every area of my life. It's amazing to feel hope that I can feel like me again and get back to enjoying my life - rather than just existing. I highly recommend Dr Fawcett and her team. You may have to wait a little while for an appointment but be assured it's worth the wait!
