   One year on since our incredible wedding day at The West Mill. I cannot recommend this venue enough! From our initial visit, taster night and wedding, we were well looked after. Great communication about all the details of the day to put our minds at ease. Jane, our Events Manager, was absolutely amazing making sure everything ran smoothly, especially when communicating with suppliers on the day. The venue speaks for itself and all our guests absolutely loved it. You have the beauty of the mill and river outside and then the warm, classy and quirky vibes inside.

   Team Edwards Photography. One of the very best wedding venues for miles around. Laid out really well to guide guests through different levels as the day progresses. Creates a really good experience for everyone. Full of original quirky features so provides something really different to the more traditional wedding venues.    As a modern wedding photographer, I would recommend the West Mill to any of my future couples looking for a quirky industrial wedding venue that has plenty of space for a good party. My favourite thing about West Mill is that there are 4 amazing floors - one for the ceremony, one for the wedding breakfast, one for the evening ceremony and one for your welcome drinks, not to mention the courtyard just outside for when the weather is nice. The ceremony room and dining room have lots of windows, which means you not only get a lot of beautiful daylight inside the venue, but you also get a lovely view over the Rivert Derwent. The party room is super kitsch, with 50's style booths and old fashioned items dotted about, which really gives the venue character. When it comes to the couples portraits, I'm always looking for something a bit different, so as well as shooting on site and on the bridge with the venue and river as the backdrop, there's also a little industrial estate next door. This is perfect for adding contrast and a bit of an urban style to the portraits. The staff at West Mill are always fun and helpful, and I've always been fed well, which makes such a difference to my day, which can be quite long and tiring. Can't wait to be back!

   We have just returned from our honeymoon and had time to reflect on our brilliant day and just wanted to say Thank you so much for making our day as special as it could possibly be. It was honestly a dream day and would couldn’t be grateful enough. The team were absolutely incredible setting everything up and the staff were so kind and supportive to everything we asked for to the finest detail. We’d also like to send a HUGE thank you to the catering team. The wedding breakfast was brilliant. We couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the food was throughout and our guests said they’d never had such beautiful food at a wedding before, everything was perfect. We will do nothing but recommend The West Mill as the best wedding venue future bride and grooms could ask for. It has been such an easy process to the build up of our big day and we cannot thank you all enough.

   LOVE LOVE LOVE this wedding venue! I got booked to photograph a wedding here and couldn't have been happier. It's so unique, not only is the inside of the building beautiful, but the outside space is as well. There's so many great areas for photos, I was spoilt for choice. The staff were also super helpful and friendly. I hope to be back here photographing more weddings soon.
