People rarely leave good reviews and mostly feel called to action upon a bad experience. I have nothing but praise for this practice. I have however always used the e-consult first so have no wish to undermine the experience of others with a less favourable experience. I have always received a same day appointment when necessary, been treated promptly and referred accordingly. I cannot fault my care. Thank you Wokingham Medical Centre.

I’ve been trying for several days to book an appointment for my baby, who has a lump on his neck and a persistent cough. Each time I call, I’m told the practice is fully booked and to try again in the morning or afternoon. I’ve followed this advice repeatedly, but I still can’t get an appointment. I understand the practice is busy, but the lack of support has been very frustrating, especially when it involves a young child with worrying symptoms. The staff I’ve spoken to haven’t offered any alternative options or guidance only call 111 which I did and they said need to call my local GP, which has left me feeling quite helpless. I hope the practice can improve its accessibility and the level of support given to patients in urgent situations.

Absolutely nothing but a diabolical service from these people. It doesn’t matter what your problem is or how time sensitive, you are met by no one but a bunch of robots on reception. Who trains these people, I would love to know?! No compassion, no empathy… literally nothing. If you ask to speak to someone in charge, you are refused names of who to contact or any kind of guidance. They literally do everything they can to stop you from raising a complaint. I’ve had to wait weeks for a prescription request and when it eventually landed at the pharmacy, it was wrong. In the meantime I’ve been suffering for weeks. This practice is another level useless, it really is. Be prepared to be forced into doing absolutely everything over email…. And even then, after everything is written out in black and white, whatever you need, will still be wrong. I’m trying to work out how to formally raise a complaint against this GP service and I mean a lot former up than practice manager level…

Following an econsult form and blood tests, I received a diagnosis of a chronic lifelong health condition and another diagnosis for a related condition from a different person by text message without opportunity for discussion or any help to understand how the conditions were related. There was no welfare check and I was given vague advice to start taking supplements without a specified dose and had an adverse reaction that could have been prevented had a human being actually communicated with me. Since when has it been normal to diagnose or send notification of abnormal test results by text message? Extremely concerning that this is the way things are going now.

If I could give 0 I would. 3 receptionists, one chipping in with negative comments saying ‘can’t do that the doctor decides’. The other 2 just standing there blankly. Training needs improvement. Also was accused of being difficult and rude when I clearly wasn’t. Walked away and felt I wasn’t being listened to and had to justify booking a blood test and ecg. This is simple stuff or at least could be resolved in a simple manner. Simply pathetic and shameful.

This doctors surgery is second to none. I understand that all GP practices are under immense pressure however last year I was extremely unwell and WMC were fantastic. The staff were friendly, understanding & supportive. You don't have to wait days for an appointment and getting through on the phone system has become much easier. Compared to the feedback I see for other surgeries, I count myself lucky to be under WMC. Very organised and well run surgery.

Twice I have called this week, first one, there is no appointments available and I called at 8am, on hold for an hour and a bit. Told to try again the next day or see the pharmacist as they might help. They didn’t even know what I was calling for??? Pharmacist a doctor now? Went to see pharmacist yesterday, told that it might be best to talk to a doctor, I don’t friggin believe this. Another night of pain, called 8am this morning waited an hour in the queue then told straight away there was no phone or any consultations available. If I’m concerned enough, call 111 or try again Monday. How do these people sleep?

I’ve had to use this surgery quite a few times over this last year for my 5 year old daughter and my experience every time has been great. I’ve been able to get the doctors to give me a call back to assess her symptoms and if required they have called her in for a face to face appointment. Every appointment was pleasant - the doctors spent time looking over and discussing my daughters symptoms. My daughter felt comfortable and we didn’t feel rushed or fobbed off. For most of her illnesses the doctors provided the right course of action for her symptoms, which did improve. For others, they have/are investing time to initiate investigations/tests to find out more. They have kept in contact with me via telephone keeping me updated and seeking updates from myself on my daughters symptoms. Very happy with this service.

It seems like they never have available appointments, can't book forward, when you go to e-consult it is just hit or miss. I have been asked what type of meds i want. Generally if you're longterm ill and with this practise you're better off diagnosing yourself or just top yourself if you're struggling with multisymptomatic depression like me. I do not feel like there is anyone taking care of me. And i feel Very sorry for receptionist with all the complaints that are obviously not her fault. Worse practise I have ever committed to.
