The person dealing with us was superb. He chatted with my son, asked questions and made him feel really comfortable. He was also very good at explaining things to us.
After a frustrating experience at the Bracknell branch where they struggled to handle my complex prism prescription, I decided to try Specsavers Wokingham, and the difference was incredible. The team here immediately understood my requirements and took the time to ensure my prescription was perfectly translated into my new lenses. I am especially grateful to Darryn, the Dispensing Optician, who helped me select a frame that was both stylish and technically suited for my prism needs. Darryn personally oversaw the process to ensure the fit was exact and the entire experience was pleasant. They spent a significant amount of time making sure the glasses were comfortable and caused no visual issues, providing a level of expertise that was well worth the trip from Bracknell.
We have been here many times and they are always excellent. I went with my 4yo as well as with my 75yo grandma and they treat everyone with respect, always smiling, always helpful, very knowledgeable and patient. Gobi was really exceptional, my grandma felt like he was literally reading her mind. Shame I do not remember the name of a gentleman that was later helping us to pick glasses and another one who adjusted them during pick up. Anyway, we are their loyal customer and would strongly recommend them!
The optician was wonderful and very kind and caring with my eldest son which we were very grateful for. However, the general customer care was extremely poor. Staff were standing around chatting to each other and we were left for long periods of time without any explanation. We had to ask for help. Hugely disappointing for Wokingham which has an outstanding reputation in general and is known for being super kind, caring and friendly.
Every single member of the team makes you feel welcome and give you their full attention. At the same time, I loved that I was left on my own to choose the new glasses so that I could try as many as I wanted. Then when I needed help the staff was there again to help me.
Can't believe they are still disinfecting glasses that are tried on when reading don't.. only in wokingham I guess..
Should have gone to Vision Express! Both myself and my husband have been customers of Specsavers in Wokingham for many years, but after the terrible customer service he recently received, we will never return. After noticing a grey patch on his eye he was concerned and decided to go to Specsavers to hopefully see a professional who could either put his mind at rest, or give some advice on appropriate actions that he should take. Early December on a Saturday morning ve arrived before 9.00am. He explained about his eye to the manager who could not have been less bothered! The shop was empty, at that point but he was not interested in my husband paying for an eye test to check out possible issues. The manager was more interested in discussing his social life with a colleague, and even after my husband mentioned how long we had both been using this branch of Specsavers and had bought numerous pairs of glasses over the years, this so called manager simply recommended that my husband go to the A & E department. Walking along the road my husband then went into Vision Express, he needed to wait, but paid for an eyetest and was told he had an infection which was easily treatable and was given advice on how to do so. Shame on you Specsavers! Very poor customer service and you certainly need to look at who you choose to have in charge of your Wokingham branch. You have lost two loyal customers, of many years standing. The moral of this story is......we should have gone to Vision Express! recently

My varifocals are perfect and having no frame are light and less intrusive to your vision. Brilliant.
Fantastic experience at Specsavers in Wokingham today. I didn't have an appointment but my daughter and I both needed new lenses in our glasses as they were scratched. We were seen by Hayleigh who was brilliant - she went through all of the options clearly and I have ordered a new pair of glasses at a very reasonable price and she even cleaned my current pair. She also cleaned my daughters glasses and adjusted them as well so we are both very pleased. Hayleigh was really patient, clear, enthusiastic and very professional so thank you for all of your help today :).
