   We purchased a pillow topped mattress from DFS, but it has such a strong and unpleasant smell that I am unable to sleep on it. The manual advises leaving the mattress unpacked for about half an hour before use so the odour can dissipate. I followed this instruction and even left it for several hours, but the smell persisted. I also tried spraying it with deodorant, but this made no difference. I reported the issue to DFS, and they referred me to a company called Emmeira, whose technician came to assess the problem. As soon as he entered the room, he acknowledged that the smell was overwhelming. However, he said he could not take any action and that I would have to keep the mattress for three months; only if the smell is still present after that period can he report a fault, at which point DFS might respond. This situation is completely unreasonable, as it is impossible to sleep on a mattress with such a strong odour for so long. Furthermore, this pillow-topped mattress sinks where we sleep, while the middle has started to bulge, leaving the surface uneven and bumpy after only three weeks of use. Given these issues, I would advise anyone considering a purchase from DFS to think very carefully before proceeding. this is a mattress that I paid £640!!...

   My wife and I visited this store to look at dining tables, chairs, and sofas. Honestly, we loved the experience! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the store had a much better collection than other places we checked. The prices are fair — not too high and worth it for the quality you get. I’d definitely recommend this furniture shop in Hedge End to anyone setting up their home. We’ll be going back next month to buy more for our house!

   Jamie sold me two sofas today, all the staff were very helpful, not pushy at all but add sure they all asked if I needed anything and struck conversations. They were happy to leave me to have a look around myself and was approached at the right time by Jamie, as I had found the sofa I wanted. We went through options and pricing, I was happy with what he had to offer so it was an easy sale as I was looking to buy today for sure.

   They are very quick when it comes to taking money. But this is the first and the last i will ever order from dfs. I will never recommend to any of my friends of my family Ordered a sofa, after 8 weeks of waiting , it fit through my door and hallway, they attempted delivery twice and couldnt fit my living room door. Never ever ever again. Its very risky ordering, I wasn’t informed that there were a shorter version of my sofa. I wasn’t informed that they can build one where arms come off. Just order and take money. They dont take any risk so no guiding at all.

   If only their after sales was as good as their sales team! After 5 months I've still got a broken sofa the same as they delivered it. Paid for all the extra insurance and only once they got a 1 star review on TrustPilot amazingly I got 2 calls in 12 hours! Sadly still no help. Foot stool turned up ripped and now the soft close stopped working. Pictures attached. They won't even tell me what part of the sofa is broken!

   Went in for opening time on a Sunday not busy so tried a couple of sofas to make final decision, asked to speak to someone as there were only 2 sales staff from what I could see, asked to wait by the sofa which I did only to be totally blanked several times by the staff who were more interested in people's christmas jumpers so walked out after an hour of wasted time. Really poor customer service and wouldn't recommend a visit.

   Great experience professional and friendly staff. Covid19 regulations maintained staff at the entrance providing sanitizers, masks and also checking if customers needed assistance. We were wearing our masks and distances well maintained throughout our shopping. We looked at the types recliners we wanted compared prices with other shops where we had been. Bought at best price from DFS. We can't wait for our delivery in 12 weeks. I highly recommend. Wide selection sofas for everybody. Wheelchair accessible entrance, blue badge disabled parking close to the shop.
