Good parking if you go nice and early. The atmosphere in the store: people rushing around with worried faces and shoppers mainly browsing but not buying. When I was about to leave the store- remember where you entered- I noticed a man following me wearing shorts, red shorts in winter. I looked back, he went another way but came after me again that is when I stopped and he disappeared. As I was walking to my car, pushing my trolley, another male came quite close to me from behind, when there was plenty of space, sniffing loudly. My gut feeling kicked in.Luckily, an everyday man was coming to our direction and the sniffing man left quickly. So, lone shopper ladies be very careful. It is Southampton, close to the docks, and if you watch the news regularly and maybe Dr Phil podcasts, you might be aware of kidnapping and trafficking of females. Would I come again? I didn't feel safe, therefore my answer is no. Also watch the bakery products because the way they are put out it is not hygienic. Putting baked, uncovered produce right near the passageway, where hundreds of people pass by! Where is food safety and food hygene? Cover your produce or put it some place else. No eccles cakes.

Excellent food shop, and sensible well made clothes. M&S set the standard when it comes to towels and bed linen. Feel guilty about buying from M&S because of their links to Israel and the genocide that's going in Gaza. Probably shouldn't shop there these days?

This is a fairly nice clothing shop and its easily accessible with multiple entrances, lifts and escalators. The stock is always pretty high quality and the returns process and pickup process is very straight forward and easy so no need to worry if you order the wrong size. There is 2 cafes which have nice food at pretty fair prices and a large food section which is new and nicely made and there is plenty of fresh food with a bakery, a pizza section and more. Would recommend

Beautifully styled store with the goods well displayed and presented. Lots of room around all the merchandise . Probably the best M&S I've visited. Good café upstairs. Toilets spotlessly clean. Didn't use the foodhall but the fruit & vegetable looked very appealing.

Friendly and helpful staff, well stocked shelves and loads of interesting food items

Value for money & new lines are excellent for women's clothes.

Really nice store this, food clothing, furniture, cafe what more could you want, almost forgot free parking.

They have a reasonable stock of different sizes and ranges to pick from. (Although they've stopped stocking the 2 inch longer shirts). Next to Sainsbury's, so you could do some shopping on the same visit, they have a small range of clothes as well.

With M&S you’d expect a pleasant and easy experience but instead, I found the contrary, the two stars is for the shop floor, very modern and tidy with decent stock but the absent 3 stars is for the shoddy cafe. Ridiculously slow service, poor food quality, expensive, dirty tables and inconvenient staff. Absolutely appalling, just use this location for its store, make sure you’ve eaten before visiting.
