   Mr Shetty carried out a right hip replacement in July, a follow up to my left hip replacement (also at this hospital) in 2023. It was an extremely positive experience right from the beginning. Pre operative appointments were efficient, the care during my hospital stay was second to none and the aftercare was considered and appropriate. Many thanks to Mr Shetty, the operating theatre team, the pre op nurse, the recovery team and the ward nurses. Also to physios and to the reception staff. The surgeries have been life-changing for me and, being in healthcare myself, have meant that I can continue to make a difference to my own patients. Thank you.

   Had a spinal fusion at this hospital in September 2025 performed by Mr Dare and his team. The whole experience was fantastic and the nursing team once back in my room was first class. My recovery has been brilliant and after 6 weeks I have now returned to work. Would definitely recommend this hospital.

   Having spinal fusion surgery was a big decision. The team at Nuffield Wessex have made every step along the way easy for me, from the pre-surgery education, through to my time on the ward and my physio and hydrotherapy afterwards. Three months post surgery and I wish I’d been brave enough to have had it done years ago, it’s improved my life enormously. My physio, Ewa has helped me go from strength to strength and supported me through emotional bumps in the road to keep me positive throughout. I’m able to enjoy life again with my family and am back to swimming, cycling, Pilates and walking my dog. I highly recommend. Thank you team, you’ve all been so kind and professional.

   Absolutely amazing care, Rachel Gissing and Kara were so lovely in pre op assessment. Rachel was so friendly, she put me at ease, was very thorough and informative. Kara was able to get blood out of my arm , where many other hospitals have tried, and failed , ending up having to take blood from my hand.! Great skills.x I always know I am in safe professional hands at the Nuffield. Thankyou Nikki

   Reviews are generally from the person directly involved, but I was at Nuffield Health as my sister had no-lateral food surgery and required a planned overnight stay. Everyone was exceptionally nice to my sister, and me and there was a lovely feeling about being in the hospital.

   Today, I took my wife to the Nuffield Winchester for a small procedure and left her at the appointed time of 15.00 hrs. Five and a half hours later I took her home but the procedure had not been done. I know that there can be good reasons to reschedule patients and had my wife been kept properly informed I would have no complaint. Her surgeon, charming, saw her on arrival and then with an apology for running late at 1845 saying that he would be with her in 40 minutes. At 2030 she was discharged because the surgeon was “out of time”; the surgeon was again most apologetic. One’s confidence in a hospital is severely undermined if staff have no ability to schedule the workload and keep patients informed.

   I have recently undergone a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with a vertical incision due to large fibroids. I was very anxious before the operation having never had one before and I have to say I had an excellent experience at the Nuffield. I would highly recommend Mr Moors and Mr Metcalf they were incredibly professional and total experts in their field. My incision is barely noticeable and my recovery has been a speedy one thanks to the care I have received. The nurses were all very lovely and caring. Particularly Joan, Hannah and Pauline. I felt I had the best care and this has continued post op whilst I regain my fitness. Thank you to all at the Nuffield I am eternally grateful.

   I used the Nuffield Hospital for a private MRI Scan. The process and all staff I met with initially were flawless. I got my results in a timely manner along with a report of the findings. Due to the seriousness of the matter being looked at I requested the MRI images so that I could forward them to my life insurance company for a second opinion. I received the images and naturally had look through them. I found a rather obvious anomaly, given that I am not a brain specialist, which caused some alarm and raised this with the Nuffield. I received an email from the radiology manager, Martin Coleman, who advised that the radiologist making the report, Jason Macdonald (4427313) "was unwilling to go further" about the images... Happy to take my money but not to do much else in helping with actual medical concerns.

   Couldn’t recommend Nuffield enough. The care they provide is truly outstanding. The day of surgery all staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at ease right from when I arrived, to when I left. Mr Whitworth has been super, and left me with brilliant results. I have since been back after the procedure didn’t heal as well as hoped (my bodies reaction, not a result of how the surgery was performed). The outpatient nurses could not have done enough for me. They were kind and patient the whole time, and never made me feel a nuisance despite being back several times. A special thank you to Sara who was beyond lovely and helped me all the way through. Thank you!!
