   My wife and I wanted a car and stress free tour of 3 iconic locations in Switzerland over 8 days, Lake Lucern, Jungfrau area and Spiez on lake Thun. Marie produced a great package for us that was truly tested when my wife suffered a hip injury before we travelled that limited her walking. The hotel locations suggested by Marie were within very short walking distance from the main sights, lake ferries and trains so we were able to take full advantage of out travel pass and experience the spectacular beauty and culture of Switzerland without having to walk much at all. We had an amazing time and thanks to Marie’s knowledge and planning we were able to have a holiday without being concerned about walking too far. We even got to the top of the Jungfrau, by train! Many thanks Marie for looking after us so well.

   Marie arranged a wonderful Kenyan safari for our family. The safari lodges were amazing, each with their own unique experience, from being escorted to dinner due to hippos on the lawn, to giraffe wandering though the camp, to the most amazing sunset with Kilimanjaro. The food was buffet in all hotels and lodges with good selections. Our guide was with us from the day of pickup through to the last hotel on the Indian Ocean. We did not know about this and was a welcome surprise. We felt safe and looked after the entire holiday. Definately recommend Marie and Travel Counsellors.

   I'm normally an independent traveller, booking and organising everything myself but I was persuaded to use Marie for my recent weekend break in Madrid and I'm so pleased I did. Not just great attention to detail but really listening to what I was looking for, hence the hotel she found was perfect. Right in the centre of the city within walking distance of both the main sights and the funky neighbourhoods, with a lovely little balcony, swimming pool and awesome rooftop bar. While she couldn't organise the weather (a bit damp!) she did organise excellent, efficient transfers and offered to check us into the flights - but my independence reasserted itself on that one! A great service, I'll be using Marie and Travel Counsellors again.

   Travel is, without question, my favourite thing to do. What is not my favourite thing, is spending pain-staking hours scouring the web to find the perfect trip. It therefore, often gets left until the last minute, I expect costing me dearly. However, thanks to Marie and her efficient expertise, my 2018 is already shaping up to be a fantastic year. She has recently helped me to organise my annual R&R trip to Dubai. Having visited friends in Dubai for many years, I was pretty sure of where I wanted to stay and Marie very quickly planned around my specific hotel and flight requests. In addition to this she had a few alternative suggestions for me and, although initially very sure of my hotel choice, her ideas were hard to ignore. I am delighted to say, that thanks to Marie’s expert knowledge and research she has set me up in a stunning hotel which rivals my original plan for a fraction of the cost. Complete with preferred flights and transfers. The whole process from our initial chat through to the booking was extremely smooth and kept my administration input to an absolute minimum. The entire booking is held within the Travel Counsellors App on my phone which, I know will be invaluable when I’m standing outside Dubai Airport in 50 degrees of heat wondering who the transfer is booked with. I’d highly recommend anyone to speak to Marie, not only to take the stress out of organising their travel but to inspire all of their future travel adventures.
