Sorry but the layout and organisation was poor. Walked in and a paper sign says go right. Did that and all these people are on the left but assume they are waiting. Quite busy. I wait at the cone next in line and the lady picks up the phone and talking to a client, no issues and waiting for about 5 minutes. People start walking in and going to the left. I explain why I am here and told to queue to the left! Why does the sign direct you right. I now have to join a queue after others have just walked in. The place is a mess and just decided it would be better to go elsewhere. Used to be really good but now it is poor. Shelves are barely full up. Would not recommend.

What a joke of a Pharmacy! They do not understand the word "Customer Service". Perhaps I have been spoilt by other pharmacies who have always been very helpful to make sure a problem is resolved. Having got ready to go away for a few days with the car packed, I stopped off to collect my script. It was not there. I was told to contact the Surgery myself. I asked if I could just get my repeat blood thinning medication and would sort it on my return. I was looked at like I had two heads for daring to ask such a thing. No, I was told, it's up to you. I tried to explain that I was going to run out & could not go a day without the medication. No one was interested in helping. I had been without a car due to hubby having hit a deer so he was using my car whilst working away from home, thats why I had not fetched my prescription sooner. I then lost it and reacted. Aew days later on my return home, the Surgery confirmed I had ordered my script and it had been sent so back I went only to be told again it was not there and to contact the surgery. Again I pleaded but no one would budge. Then an older lady came over, meanwhile there was long queue building up & she had decided that packing shelves were more important than customers, and in a very loud voice said it was my responsibility to ensure that the script had been sent through. Basically telling me off. I have never been so angry and I stormed out letting them know I would not be back & would write a review on their appalling services. I drove to the surgery, saw the pharmacist who made me feel a lot better when I told her which Pharmacy had been to. Gave me another script and changed the Pharmacy to have it regular sent to. I went to the new Pharmacy to get the script fulfilled explaining the problem I had experienced. Eyes were rolled. They asked to take my blood pressure as a new customer/patient, and my fears of not having the blood thinners for so long came true. My blood pressure was stupidly high which meant that clots had started forming again. I was monitored for 24 hours & it became scary with each reading as the bp went up & up. So to this pharmacy, yes my words to you may have been perceived as hysterical, and to the young assistant, learn something, the customer is always right, because what I said nearly happened. Shame on you!!

Absolute joke of a pharmacy. Called them to say I was coming they said be here by two and it will be done. Arrive at two. Wait 15 mins to be served only to say we will only make it up once you get here. Should have told me this on the phone. Now am late to picking up my daughter from school. Someone needs to fire the manager and employ someone who can organise and run a business!!! 16/09/25

Called the pharmacy about a very sensitive/personal issue, the woman on the phone was unbelievably rude and made my experience even worse. However, the pharmacist was very nice. Need new staff on the phone, horrible people

Booked covid jab. Got 9:15 appointment. Shop supposed to open at 9 am. Opened at 10am. Lots of elderly people waiting outside, thank goodness it wasn't raining!!! But no chairs for them to sit on. Disgusting. Not infrequent occurrence. Shop should close & be taken over by a new owner. Shop staff suggested we all walk to next chemist. But our reservations are for this one. A replacement person to administer the covid jab was found. He was excellent, jumped to the task immediately & friendly AND was very apologetic. Country's going to the dogs & this is emblematic.

An Absolutely terrible experience. And unfortunately, many times tested as it is only one of two pharmacies in the area. They are clearly relying on that fact and not even trying to be helpful. The customer service is non-existent. The politeness and common sense of their staff is completely abysmal. You have to queue for a long time and on the top of it, have to manage the always grumpy and inefficient member of staff at the end of the line. We have stopped going and make sure we share our bad experience with locals too ( although most of them already know!) .

the most horrid chemist in reading. they are rude, they had my medication, and said they did not. they made me walk 1 mile to another, whitch was not there. they mad me call the doctor again. in the cold outside. it was there all the time. 2 hours of freezing cold , it's not what you need when your not well at all. I pray that I don't ever have to visit that chemist ever again. if I could , I would not even give a 0

Got my covid booster here and would give it 0 stars if I could. I was slightly late for my appointment due to an unforeseen traffic jam. I tried to call twice to let them know and the phone rang out both times. I turned up and there were two people sat down and a volunteer in high vis next to the counter. They ignored me at first and were just sat having a chat. I went up to them and said that I was there for my covid jab and apologised for being late. They said that’s fine, pointed to a curtain and said go in there. I sat down on a seat next to the person who, I assumed at this point, would be administering my vaccine. A short lady wearing glasses with dark hair. The booth was incredibly cramped, with lots of boxes stacked under the desk and a full bin of rubbish. The person started typing on the computer and didn’t even say anything to me for at least two minutes as she logged in. The log in information was displayed clearly on the wall which I’m sure isn’t legal as they were accessing my personal medical information. She rudely asked me ‘name’, ‘date of birth’ questions without even giving me a glance. She then demanded to know why I was getting the booster early. I don’t know if this is a question that’s mandatory, but considering it was a very personal and confidential question, she did not ask it in an appropriately sensitive way. She then proceeded to open up the vaccine and putting it in the needle. She didn’t tell me what vaccine I was getting. Approaching my right side, she ordered me to pull up my sleeve and then injected me without asking if I was ready. In my experience, I have always been asked what arm is my dominant so they can do it in the opposite arm. I then asked if I needed to wait afterwards. She said no you can go so I left. On the way out I was handed a piece of paper with the vaccine batch code on. It was an awful experience all round. I can’t believe the NHS use this place as a vaccine centre. It felt dirty and I felt I was a nuisance more than anything. The worst vaccine experience I have had and I have had three other covid vaccinations.

Never in my life have I been to a store with such rude staff. They make you feel like you’re a massive inconvenience. My daughter is a newly diagnosed diabetic and I found it a bit daunting when picking up her big prescription. They had hardly any of the items and I was told to come back the next day, the day arrived and I was told to come back in half an hour. Half an hour later I came back and the woman that served me twice previously didn’t say a word. Just looked away and went to get my items….still some were missing. I get they’re busy/fed up, but when you work in customer service, you have to make an effort. This place is just ridiculous!!

A very well organised programme of giving COVID jab to the public who had already booked an appointment. The queue host was polite and knowledgeable and the team of staff who administered the vaccines were fast and helpful.
