    Abysmal customer service and staff rude especially the practice manager, unfortunately no option to give 0 stars. Called to enquire about my medication delivery which had not been delivered. The so called practice manager was very rude to the extent she told lies saying 2 of her colleagues had called and spoken to me that day regarding my medication. She went ahead to say my antibiotics had been deliverd on 30/11/23 and the remaining medication in a pac would be delivered on 1/12/23. I informed her i wasnt on antibiotics and i dont receive my medication in pac's. I asked her to repeat my name and address as i had a suspision she had the wrong customer, She told me my name but refused to give me my address and made me tell he my address..... yes you guessed it however instead of an apology she then went on to tell me i'm expected to find a new pharmacy as they were closing down Feb 2024 i asked for assistance to locate a new pharmacy that delivered as i dont leave the house she said its my problem to deal with. To be honest this Boots branch at Bath Rd, Thatcham RG18 3HD will not be missed. Boots you need to train your staff to a better standard.

    I feel for the staff but they need an improved system. The queuing for drop off and collection of prescriptions is ridiculous, over an hour on multiple occasions or aborted visits as I know wait will be unacceptable. Boots...you have the money so help us all out and improve the service please!!

    Understaffed or team is slow, no idea but appalling serving time. I ordered prescription and paid for 3 days ago and they waited for me to turn up to order made me wait above 1 hr after a long que. never texted as they should have that it's ready. Never ordering or coming here for prescription again, they should close down. 0/10

    The phone is never answered and over the past couple of months my average wait time is 1hour and 30 mins for a prescription that was issued a week ago and still not made up. One member of staff is particularly slow so going at lunch time when they are serving makes the whole experience even more dreadful. Winter won’t be great for the sick and elderly with these wait times outside in the cold and rain.

    Why is it impossible to get through on the phone? They are very nice, it is nothing against the staff personally, just very frustrating when nobody answers the phone, it doesn't seem to matter what time of day, or day of the week.

    After using this for quite some time it’s not the staff that cause the delay but people who come for prescriptions that aren’t ready. How about you wait at home until it’s ready selfish?? Quite typical of humanity

    A truly shocking service I had to queue for an hour and twenty minutes just to be told my prescription wasn't ready and I needed to wait another 15 mins for it. I was not the only one who had to wait to get prescriptionsade up for them, it's not for a lack of staff but only having 1 computer and 1 till seems to be inadequate for the volume of customers.

    I went to boots pharmacy on the Bath Road to collect my partners medication the first time was at 9 o’clock there was seven people waiting the second time was 11:30 am and there were 19 people waiting outside. My partner cannot possibly stand for that length of time .. and nor can I. Based on previous experience experience I guess the estimated wait time for the first visit would’ve been about 20 to 30 minutes. The second time at 11:30 am I guess would’ve been well over the hour… this is by a long stretch not the first time.. ....What are we supposed to do?? Get the car out and drive for 10 minutes minutes minutes there and 10 minutes back? Every half an hour??? Any suggestions suggestions suggestions ..??...I think half the problem is people go there with prescriptions after seeing the doctor ? and joining the queue for people Who are waiting for repeat prescriptions that have already been filled.. maybe if They had two people serving. One dealing with repeat prescriptions that have already done and are awaiting collection ?? the other dealing with new prescription forms ??. And maybe noticeboards indicating which queue they should get into?????

    It's true what everyone else has said. It doesn't matter what time you turn up at this pharmacy you will be stood outside in a queue, rain or shine, for at least 10-15 minutes. I understand that the staff there are still enforcing the social distancing of the last few years and that they are understaffed but they seem to not help themselves by only serving one person at a time. If you know you are a super busy pharmacy at all times then surely you must be able to implement a system to mitigate this, regardless of staffing levels. The staff themselves are great, really friendly and helpful but please just serve more than one person at a time!!
