    Just come back from seeing Made in Tennessee which were really great.It was my first visit to the Plaza. I'm in a powerchair. Unfortunately the lift can't take the weight of a powerchair so you have to transfer to a wheelchair then get out if the wheelchair and get on a front row seat.Luckily with help I'm able to do this but it was difficult and even though they have a great disabled toilet if I needed to use it during the show it would have been almost impossible. The lady next to me also used a wheelchair but she wasn't allowed to stay in hers she also had to transfer to a seat.I must say the staff were fantastic .It won't stop me going to further shows but I will be mentally prepared next time.

    Would be great if they used public car park rather than trying to park in bridge road and denying residents a place to park, same distance to plaza theatre or near as, and free after 4pm

    Saw Romsey AODS doing a comedy version of Hound of the Baskervilles at the Minack Theatre. The location was as amazing as the performance was bad. Embarrassingly bad. When they have to pipe canned laughter to prompt you when to laugh it doesnt just act as a cue, it also says that they know they are so awful that they have to do this. They ripped off the thick guards scene from Monty Python's Holy Grail but somehow managed to do it atrociously. Comedy gold turned into utter trash. Good job. I managed to struggle through half an hour before my friend looked at me and said shall we go to the pub? So we did.

    À great local theatre owned and run by volunteers to a professional level. I've been many times to watch theatre, not interested in tribute bands etc, and the standard is always to the highest level. Really interesting range of productions on both the main stage and the Green Room stage. Good bar upstairs and down and not too bad on the prices, ice creams for the interval, drinks can be taken into the auditorium in plastic glasses. Everybody working here volunteers from the bar staff to the actors which is amazing, the standard throughout is very professional. If you live locally or you are having a trip to this wonderful market town take time to watch one of the many shows a year, one a month and more to see if you like tribune bands, something for everyone.

    there is a wheelchair lift, does not take power chairs de to weight restrictions. However there is lots of help for anyone disabled. great service and great seating in front row for disabled patrons and their carer. See you there!

    Went to watch a friend's daughter in a production of Grease by the Footlights youth theatre group. Great little theatre, which has a small kiosk in the entrance and has a small bar and seating area off to the right as you go through entrance. Staff very friendly. Comfortable seats but I found it a bit cold but that could have just been where I was sitting. A great show by a very talented cast.

    The Plaza Theatre is a local theatre run by amateurs but with a professional attitude. At least 12 RAODS productions a year and numerous other companies and acts visit. Friendly volunteers, great bar, a big main stage and a smaller studio theatre - always something going on in this vibrant place.
