Baby group review: The Rose Garden baby group has been a comforting and nurturing space for both my baby and me. We joined Gemma's sessions weekly, starting when my daughter was just six weeks old, and I plan to continue attending through her first year. The group stands out as a unique experience because of its low-sensory environment, creating a gentle and welcoming space for parents and babies to connect, play, and converse. The setting itselfβa beautifully light-filled roomβ adds to the weekly routine. One of the highlights for me has been the weekly craft activity, thoughtfully curated by Gemma to reflect the season. From paper folding to felt sewing, these small projects have sparked my creativity, inspiring me to bring more craft and imagination into our home life. I wholeheartedly recommend the Rose Garden baby group to mums, carers, or mums-to-be looking for a peaceful, community based, and creative experience. Itβs a wonderful way to nurture bonds while enjoying meaningful activities in an inviting environment.

Iβm a registered childminder and Iβve been attending the Rose Garden on a weekly basis for a couple of years. The children love attending and remember the activities that theyβve done. I am inform by the parents that they talk about Gemma and the Rose Garden with excitement. I decided to include the Rose Garden as part of the curriculum I offer for the children as it offers a relaxing unique environment for stimulating exploration both inside the house and outside in the garden. The setting coupled with the warmth and knowledge of early years education that Gemma offers the children and adults is outstanding. If you would like freedom to explore with your little one mixed with a gentle encouragement to engage in a seasonal activity of interest then the Rose Garden would probably be the place for you too!

I have been taking my 2 year old son to Rose Garden to the under 5 playgroup for a few months now and I canβt recommend it enough. We joined as we were new to the area and wanted an opportunity to get to know other families locally. Itβs great value for money considering it includes a creative craft and a healthy snack and the kids have the option of indoor and outdoor play. Gemma is kind and warm and welcoming. I donβt know who enjoys it more, me or my son, as it also gives me the opportunity to have a natter with the other mums while the kids play.

The baby playgroup at Rosegarden is brilliant. I was a bit overwhelmed by baby sensory classes with flashy plastic toys and was looking for something calm, battery free with natural toys and like-minded people. I attended a Steiner school myself as a child so I like the Waldorf inspired setting, however, this playgroup can also be enjoyed without any knowledge (or interest) of the background. Gemma is a lovely host. She offers a hot beverage in the beginning and all attending parents get the opportunity to work on a new seasonal craft (for example Christmas stockings, baby felt ball, window pictures, cards, finger puppet) every session. Itβs a fantastic place to relax, unwind and chat with other parents. My son loves the free, unstructured play time with familiar faces where he can practice his latest skills and say hi to the other babies. I highly recommend the baby group for anyone who is looking for a calm, child-centered environment.

We love the Rose Garden. I have been bringing my little girl for over a year now and we really enjoy the toddler group. Gemma is warm, friendly and kind and creates a wonderful experience for caregivers and their children. We enjoy the homely feel and the activities such as garden play, crafts and the snacks around the table. Highly recommended.

I've been visiting Rose Garden with my son since he was 4 months old. We go to a different group every day and this is by far our favourite!
