Nice and clean theatre. We have just been to watch Cinderella, shame only 200 people watching. Great show. Drinks and refreshments are priced ok, they are always going to be more expensive than the high street.
What a great place! The building is very old and has a lot of style. It's good to watch a performance in this setting. There is a circle, but it is not always available to purchase tickets for it. There are a few bars and toilets and there are pretty gardens behind, which have been decorated for Christmas. Very nice.
Went to see Jools Holland at the pavilion excellent show unfortunately Jools encouraged people to stand up. This is all very well disabled unable to stand or short in Stature and someone tall in front of you spoils the whole experience entertainers would be better off not encouraging people to stand and watch the show, which they have paid substantial amount of money to see.
Booked tickets to see Josh Widdecombe at the Pavilion. Between buying them and the night of seeing Josh I’d had an accident which made going upstairs to our seats quite unachievable. Spoke to the lovely Katherine there and she managed to put us in seats on ground level. Amazing night and I met Josh so my year of pain was well worth it especially as I came so close to not going.
Went to see the Bootleg Beatles great venue although legroom is tight if you are 6ft tall like me. Acoustics and view of the stage were great.
When trying to book limited seating left the Pavillion online booking won't allow you to book two seats where three seats remain. It's pathetic the site does this when clearly in other locations there are single seats left!! So I either book two seats you don't want or pay for a third seat you don't need.... You can ring the booking office to get around this but with only one person ahead of us in the call queue it took ten minutes to get through. Phone staff are very helpful and polite but for certain shows tickets sell fast so the site really needs to be amended so at X amount of seats filled the software removes booking restrictions.
Brilliant concert, Women to Women. The venue is good, very personal, great views from most seats. Toilets need updating upstairs but a great place to see live acts .
Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre is right on the sea front, we parked on Madeira Road (free Sunday parking) and walked down to the theatre, although having walked through the rundown town, in future it would be worth paying to park at the Pavilion. The foyer is small for the amount of people the theatre holds but it didn't take long to walk through to our seats. We were sat on row L, seats 26/27 and had a fantastic view of the stage. The seats were comfortable and were raised a little above the seats below. Seeing Jane Mcdonald was an amazing experience, we had a great fun night, it was fantastic to see Jane live in concert, she's a phenomenal singer and a great laugh on stage, a true entertainer. With songs from Queen, Abba, Officer & a Gentleman as well as Jane's own songs, we were singing & clapping along.
Just want to give a big shout out to the staff at Bournemouth Pavilion. They helped my father out massively when we realised that I had booked circle tickets for a show and there was no lift for my disabled father to use. They managed to find us seats only 9 rows from the front and on an aisle with very short notice (10 minutes). Amazing service and show!
What a lovely theatre with very helpful staff. We went to watch the Blues Brothers tribute act which was our first trip since the end of lockdown and we felt very comfortable with all Covid restrictions. The only moan, was the cost of the car park.
