An excellent outlet for quality wines, spirits and lot more drinks. There are bargains to be had especially on this festive occasion and more thereafter. The location is convenient just by junction 12 of M4 that makes it reachable from all over Berkshire. There’s ample free parking just at the front door and the staff are extremely helpful and efficient.

Personalized Wine Pairing & Fantastic Service from Joss at Laithwaites We worked with Joss at Laithwaites for our wedding drinks, and he was absolutely brilliant. We initially approached him looking for help creating a wine list that would pair perfectly with our wedding menu, while also incorporating some of my late father-in-law's favourite Laithwaites selections. Joss went above and beyond to help us. He dedicated time to thoroughly explaining all the different options, the reasoning behind each pairing, and even provided detailed tasting notes that we could include on our menus for each table. We ordered one of each of his suggestions, which was a fantastic way to sample everything in the comfort of our own time and to our own schedule, and make our final decisions. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting process, and Joss's expertise was invaluable in helping us choose the perfect wines and fizz for our celebration. He made the entire process so easy and stress-free, which was a huge relief during the busy wedding planning period, as having all the wine organised and delivered in advance took a weight off our minds. On the day, our guests loved the drinks, and we even have a few bottles leftover to enjoy at home for special occasions, which is a lovely reminder of our wedding. We can't recommend Joss and Laithwaites enough for anyone looking for a personalized and seamless wedding drinks experience. N&N

We recently had our wedding wine tasting at Laithwaites Reading, and we couldn’t recommend it enough! It was a fantastic afternoon, Heather was extremely knowledgeable and shared some great recommendations for which wines would suit our wedding and vibe. We loved the wines we chose so much that we had to buy some to take home with us! We can’t wait to drink these beautiful wines on our special day very soon!

Generally a pretty helpful and nice experience. I do love the refurb they have fairly recently done to this place. Makes a world of difference. Thier wines are all pretty good accept for the Black Stump. They are pretty helpful for corporate events etc. Only thing we haven't been able to get from here is a decent non alcoholic wine. They do one but it is a German one and the bottle looks like a German sausage so not something I'd want to give our customers.

Completed the online WSET Level 2 in wine course and can honestly say it was fantastic! My reason for starting the course was to understand how to pick decent wine in a supermarket and the course offered so much more information than expected! The information and study material is detailed, the classes were fun, our teacher Greg is lovely and supportive, and the wine samples were delicious (and educational of course). I regularly refer back to the course materials for information and it has sparked my interest so much I’ve started reading various wine books and have a wine bucket list! I plan to complete wset level 3 in future too when the online course dates suit my schedule. Overall, would highly recommend.

A very enjoyable and educational course. My teacher Greg Roberts has a fantastic and unique approach that genuinely makes learning fun and inspired me to do WSET3!

Just completed WSET Level2. Did the whole thing remotely. Fantastic experience and great to interact with Greg and the rest of the crowd who were also all remote. The individual views and comments combined with Greg’s commentary helped with both the learning and social aspects of the course. Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who wants to appreciate wine as opposed to just glugging it (like I used to).

I attended the WSET Level 1 course on Wine on Saturday (29th Oct). It was a fantastic experience. I had the pleasure of tasting 8 high quality wines, including an amazing Sauternes. The course was led by Greg, clearly an experienced teacher, who brought the course to life and made learning a joy. Very highly recommended for anyone wanting to get more out of their glass of wine.

I had my WSET level 1 course on Saturday, 5th February. It was one of the best wine courses I have ever been to. Greg had been really helpful and approachable from the moment I booked the course. On the day he put everyone at ease and made the exciting subject even more enjoyable. He was quite thorough and made sure everyone was making a good progress. We were treated to some excellent wines (for tasting of course). Laithwaites have a very good facility and the shop attendants were very helpful too. I just wished they kept the cafe open during the lunchtime. Overall I definitely recommend this course to anyone.
