    Technically impressive. Interpersonally barren. Unless you're part of the inner circle or arrive pre-approved with a high-level background, expect to be invisible — except when you're quietly reprimanded for not asking permission to leave class, like a schoolchild. Feedback is rare; sarcasm is abundant. The head instructors are undeniably skilled dancers. Unfortunately, that’s where their strengths stop. Basic courtesy is reserved for favorites and visiting stars. Thankfully, many of the assistant instructors are kind, committed, and genuinely supportive. But talent without integrity at the top poisons the atmosphere. I’ve moved on. I suggest others listen to their instincts and do the same — sooner rather than later.

    I have thoroughly enjoyed my first Salsa Bootcamp in Bournemouth and would definitely do it again. Amazing weekend with so much to learn and so much fun at the same time. Thank you to both Davina and Marchant for your outstanding teaching and your compassion. I had a fab time and learnt a lot. I would highly recommend the Alchemy Bootcamp to anyone who wants to learn Salsa On2 or improve their dancing.

    My wife and I found this place very cliquey. The owner spent all his time with people who were in his performance team most of whom were actually other teachers, so little attention is offered for lesson paying customers. He and his wife were also sometimes quite patronising and rude to my wife and to other people. A shame since the other teachers were all very friendly and helpful and met some nice people there. But frankly after a while I began to wonder why I was paying my money to someone who could be indifferent and sometimes rude. We had attended a few socials so became aware of several other salsa teachers in Surrey and Hampshire so have decided to attend their classes instead.

    I think it would be hard to find a better place to learn salsa than at Alchemy Dance Academy. I have had at least 10 years of enjoyment and I finish each class feeling healthy and positive. Davina and Marchant are truly dedicated and passionate in giving nothing but the best tuition, and they have a wonderful team of friendly teachers. They are always in tune with everyones abilities and they make it really fun. They have made lots of short video clips, clearly showing the footwork and body movements, which are great to practice from at home - and I cannot recommend more Davina’s head-to-toe -Body Movement class. It is a must for loosening up the muscles and a complete tonic before swirling into salsa - I absolutely love it! There are plenty of events to join in with, from socials, weekend bootcamps, daytime extra classes and many more, where you will always find lots of friendly faces. I am so grateful to Marchant and Davina for their unwavering dedication to teaching salsa.

    I've been dancing now for 3 years and coming to Alchemy Dance Academy was the best decision I've ever made. Since I first started my ability as a dancer has improved along with my general fitness and my confidence. With Marchant and Davina you get two incredibly passionate, dedicated and fun teachers. The classes are loads of fun and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. There is classes for all levels from beginners to advanced dancers.
