Quite scary drivers, one of the buses we rode forced a couple of groups of bikes into ditches. The schedule seemed to be a rough guide at best, all the buses were very delayed. Nice views from the open top bus, but the others were just regular buses.
Great way to spend a day and see everything in the New Forest! Really nice routes, good drivers, and good value. Even on a hot day it's windy and a lot cooler so bring a jacket and something for your head. BUT..some of the buses are in terrible condition. Green route bus in particular was terrible. Perspex windows around the front so scratched and dirty you can barely see through them. Bolts holding the perspex on coming loose so they rattle like crazy. I had to lean against the left side one and put my shoe up against the front one to stop it rattling and be able to have a conversation. Also there's cobwebs and dirt all over these front bits, I don't think the buses get cleaned at all between seasons. Update: it’s a few weeks later, Just seen a green route bus and it seems to have new Perspex round the front windows. Five stars!
Amazing! Started at 9.55am from ferry terminal and back, finished at 5pm. Did 3 bus tours, worth £19.50… Tips: his windy, bring a hoodie and backpack with drinks and food. Ferry was £8 return Highly recommended… go on a dry day Update: usually their his a person at Terminal before 9am. You can get combined ferry and bus ticket. No one was there. Just ticket machine for ferry crossing. Lady appeared when ferry came at 9.30am. Big queue of people and insufficient of time. Anyway, will go again in a few weeks time.
A wonderful day out last Friday 7th July, we planned the day carefully and covered all routes , red, green and blue. Amazing scenery and saw sights and animals that we would not have been able to see from the car. Luckily we sat on the right hand side of the bus at the top as a lot of the trees were hanging over and may have hit someone sitting on the left. The only down side was that our first driver was very careful and we thoroughly enjoyed the journey but then changed onto the green route and the driver was very erratic and the journey didn’t feel so relaxing as he was hitting the kerb and going much faster, luckily when we met the same driver later in the day he seemed to have calmed down a bit . I feel that it is great value for money and a lovely day seeing some amazing things and being able to stroll around some quaint towns and villages.
Very interesting open top bus trip/excursion around the fantastic New Forest. I went on the green route from Hythe and the views from the top were fantastic. Had a pleasant stopover in Lyndhurst before returning back to Hythe continuing on the Green Route. Unfortunately there were two off duty bus drivers who sat next to us on the way back who were extremely/unnecessary loud in their conversation which was quite irritating after a while but the views around made it worth it still and definitely good for connecting to other routes such as Southampton (via Hythe ferry) or other NFT routes.
Great to see the new forest, hop on hop off enables you to visit villages, commentary on the bus was very informative

Loved going on the green route from Lyndhurst to Beaulie and Hythe
This bus came up on Google Maps and the bus company's own journey planner, but the bus driver wouldn't sell me a regular ticket to my destination, only a really expensive day ticket that I didn't need. The driver was helpful and let me on anyway (I'd have been stranded otherwise)... but I don't understand why they couldn't have just charged a regular fare for my journey... the bus was empty otherwise so surely it's just a bit of extra business! Especially when there's not really any alternative public transport. Anyway, the bus was on-time and quite fun to ride along on the open top. Breezy mind!
