Tragedy in one fell swoop. The receptionist always tries her best to convince the patient to skip the doctor's appointment and have a phone consultation, or even better, not bother at all and go to the pharmacy. It's a sick time after COVID-19, NHS workers are lazy and desensitized. It's a tragedy, it's a sick time.

This was once a very good practice but the service has deteriorated over the years. Over hour to get through to the receptionist (still waiting), the e-consult form is ridiculous as it keeps ending up with "We can't safely assess your symptoms through this online request. You need to talk to someone today instead". No alternate contact number or contact email found on the website.

I would like to thank Albyn Medical Practice for the care and support I have received. The doctors, nurses, and reception staff are always kind, approachable, and professional. They listen with patience, explain things clearly, and make sure I feel supported in my healthcare. I truly appreciate the dedication and understanding shown by the team. It makes such a difference to know I can rely on my GP practice for both medical care and reassurance.

I have been registered with this clinic for over a year now and have never had a problem getting an appointment. The staff and doctors are helpful and polite. I was seen here during my pregnancy and the midwife Nicola Berry was absolutely wonderful. Dr Graham Cornwell is very professional and helpful. Thank you for all the times I have come to you for help!

Please change your receptionist! The young lass, no common sense or understanding whatsoever!!!! Calling with my symptoms that would concern anyone and she’s sending me away to the pharmacy!!!! Cos apparently that’s what a protocol is…. I’m sorry, what do I pay my NI every month for???!!! If that would be something mild I would not even bother picking up my phone, but it isn’t and it doesn’t look like it is something pharmacy would be able to handle… and even going there as suggested I would be sent off to go and make a GP appointment…. What an absolute joke this practice has become! Been a patient for good 15 years, but last few years are just a complete joke with any health support… DO BETTER! Or if you don’t care about people’s health… CHANGE THE JOB! And let others to handle the situation.

If you live in the AB10 postcode and want to join a practice with the intension of wanting to see a doctor, avoid Albyn at all costs. Joined 2 years ago and still yet to see a GP

I am rarely ill, but when I am I expect to be able to see a doctor within a few days. Whenever I phone albyn I have to wait over a month for an appointment unless I want a pointless e-consult. Very frustrating

Went in to Albyn for cataract surgery which was no problem, the consultant, nurses and other staff were very nice but when it comes to aftercare, forget it. It seems like once they get your money thats it, cheerio. On some of the paperwork i got home with me there is a mention of, if you have a problem with your eyes, in my case floaters, phone immediately as it can be something serious ie damaged retina. There is a 24hr contact number for enquiries with a nurse allegedly, but when i phoned (3 times) i was always put through to the switchboard where i was asked what i was phoning about and my contact details and was told that someone would phone me back, no i am still waiting. So i have went from being told something might be seriously wrong with my eyes to explaining my personal circumstances to a switchboard operator? who may or may not have passed on my details to a third party but nothing has been forwarded to me. Absolutely disgraceful aftercare service from a private hospital. This week nearly six weeks after my operation my eyes have been very uncomfortable with a dull ache, the kind you get if you poke your eye, is it normal or is something wrong, i will never know because no one ever phones you back. The best medical practice I've ever been a part of - staff and doctors are compassionate and accommodating, and show a genuine interest in helping patients achieve the best possible outcome.

The reception staff are amazing at this practice. They will help you for whatever reason. I was away and even they helped me rather than the place I was in. Going around calling every pharmacy up in the area possible before closing time. They will guide you if you can't get a hold of a doctor. Definitely one of the best reception staff I've came across Dr. Prentice is such a lovely lady, very kind and makes you feel at ease for whatever reason and will help in the best way possible. Dr. Anthony is very good he actually managed to get an investigation started for me that led to a diagnosis which was necessary. Dr. Lee is very quick at processing things and will listen to you even if its for a long period of time. He has a real interest in his patients and doesn't rush you away.
