"Your child's medication is too expensive for us to prescribe anymore. have this sub par cheap tablet for your 6 month old instead." Yes okay give a 6 month old with extreme sickness and reflux tablets instead of a 5ml solution. Scotstown medical group priorities are being cheap and cutting costs over providing health care.

Only giving one star as I can't give zero. Scotstown Medical Practice has become an absolute disgrace these past few years. Joined here 20+ years ago and had no issues whatsoever. Now when you phone you are in a "que" for about 45mins at least (been up to 1hr40 in the past) even when your 3rd or 4th in the que and the calls would take a couple of minutes maximum. Most of the time they just don't answer the phone. I've had to drive in to actually speak to reception on a few occasions as there is little chance of getting through on the phone. They don't let you make appointments at the reception, you have to stand there and fill out an Econsult!! Baffles me, it is a Doctors reception after all. On this occasion my son has been waiting for a week for blood test results and yes Scotstown received them a week ago today but no one has bothered to look at them. Not good enough!! Terrifying to be a patient here if you were seriously unwell.

I gave this practice 1 star because it would allow me to review with zero stars. Filled an online request for appointment and still not had a telephone call 3 days later. I tried phoning the surgery. Was on hold for 45 mins and 2nd in queue when the message said we can no longer take your call then cut me off. This is for my 82 year old mother and this is unacceptable. Hoping to move her to another surgery.

How many times do you get the treatment you need and the medication on time. Almost never. Once again I have, like so many others, been let down by the practice and feel so upset at their lack of interest or care. This practice needs to look at the distribution of funds to see if savings could be made from some area other than patient care. Hoping I can leave, but suspect due to catchment area I will have difficulty. Had enough of the practice treating me like a nothing.

I was hoping to get some advice for my apnea and snoring problems. I got a 6-minute telephone appointment. I don’t know; maybe it’s not so important. I don’t know who called me because he didn’t introduce himself. He told me that he was calling from the Scotstown Medical Group. Very rude. The next day a woman from the clinic called me. But unfortunately, she spoke so fast that I couldn't understand her. I only guessed that she was asking if I had a telephonic appointment the day before. I was very surprised by this call and didn't know what to say.

Not great. Feel really bad but I had to call NHS 24 recently. This doctors sugery is so full now it's crazy. Last time I tried calling throughout day from opening till 3.30pm load sof times. Each time automated response just said extremely busy then hung up. Next time I managed to get through for receptionist to just say call back tomorrow. Tried that and couldn't get through all day. Today I've managed to get through after calling back lots of times and then I getting through being put on a 25mins hold only to be told I need to call back, then they hung up. It's really not good. Meanwhile my child is ill and looks like may have to call NHS 24 again. I don't want to use nhs24 and feel bad in doing so but this practice is becoming unusable.

I've phoned up everyday for two weeks straight and can't get through to a single person. Not even put into a call queue, the phone just says its busy and hangs up. Appalling

The worst GP practice! after waiting in line for 30 minutes being the first one to disconnect me. When I came to the clinic it was empty and yet there is no one to answer the phone!

If I could give zero stars I would, can’t talk to a doctor, can’t get an appointment call to suit when you are available, like afternoons or morning people work and can’t sit by a phone for 8 hours. I’m still waiting on my call back from 8 weeks ago. Taking personal calls in middle of supermarkets because you can’t sit indoors for 8/9 hours waiting on doctor call back!! Reception rude to my daughter on two occasions having called in afternoon after her school class to make an appointment to be told emergencies only, call back at 8am, she’s on a public bus at 8am, not best place to discuss private problems!!! never asked if it was even an emergency, likely case of dismissing younger people. No wonder A&E at bursting point! Terrible way to treat people,

Brilliant and helpful reception staff, the team are responsive, they call back when they say they will, triage your issue and provide face to face appointments promptly when required. We very much appreciate them as our local surgery. Thank you Scotstown Medical Practice!
