Fantastic small venue for live music. We never felt overcrowded and the sound lighting and overall setup was perfect for the band that we went to see. The only negative was the crowd of noisy people at the bar during the opening act. Other than the it was a good night out and we will definitely go again.

Opposite ikea! Parked in west quay £2.50 as we got there after 5pm til 8:30. Just a small warehouse turned into a dance area/ room with stage area for dancers and DJ! It’s a good size & had room to dance and it’s kinda basic but fine! The beers are well if u drink foster strong bow or Heineken pretty basic and yuk! I was driving so can’t say about other drinks? ! Music brilliant and had a great time with friends dancing!!! Going back for Ska band in September which should b amazing!! Loos… u share sinks and mirrors with guys!! Make sure u have tissues in case!!!

Southampton premier independent music venue with fantastic acoustics. You'll often find a hidden Gem of a concert here, such as Tom Meighan and Brodie Maguire! Ticket prices usually reasonable. Soft drink price very reasonable. Door staff are very professional and friendly, even when they are asking you to leave the venue (unlike some other Southampton venues which expect you to run out as soon as the lights turn on). Overall A very welcoming place

Attended the Raver Tots event at the Engine Rooms and it was brilliant, started raining while queuing up outside but the staff/ security were amazing got everyone moving in very very quickly with nice clear instructions, friendly but professional. There was a little bit of a wait to get served at the bar and did get overlooked afew times by bar staff but that happens in those environments. Drinks were a bit pricey for a childrens event but again that’s nothing new. Every staff member I came in contact with was friendly and polite. Kids had a brilliant time which was the most important thing

It's a great place, sound carrys well. I went with three girlfriend's to see Rob Lamberti who is a George Micheal tribute singer. If you have never seen this guy, and you don't necessarily have to be a great fan of George Micheal this guy is "Stunning" as George Micheal .. I even considered throwing my boxer's at him ... that's how good he is. I must also mention the band, outstanding. I gather some shows Rob has the band with him, other times he performs to backing tracks. He gets the audience involved and his a little like the Terminator, as in this guy "Does not Stop" .. The easiest £30 I have spent, if he had been there the next night, I would have gone again..!! And I'm not a full on George Micheal fan, but I was entertained non stop from the minute he came on stage. This from a guy that is a Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Ultravox era guy. Staff at the Engine rooms all very helpful and happy. David

I've been here a few times now. Great venue. It was absolutely buzzing last night. They don't pack everyone in like cattle. Enough room to jump about.

Smaller than some venues but that only enhanced the atmosphere. Saw Bad Manners, as always they were brilliant. Limited seating but plenty of dancing space. The sound was there was among the best venues I've been to and the lighting worked well with the music. There is a smoking area outside, if you want a smoke. Been told they sell Elf bars but can't verify that. Bar staff were fab, friendly, quick and it has to be said really good at keeping an eye on who's next! Door staff were efficient and friendly. Happy to chat and have a laugh but still aware of what was going on. There are a decent number of of toilets which meant didn't have those long queues! First time I've been there, will definitely be back - depending on who's playing! Excellent night, my whole party loved it.

Been for a couple gigs here & it's been a delightful experience. Friendly staff, quick service at the bar and some great names on the lineups. Reasonable pricing on tickets even for big name artists. Fast becoming a preferred venue for me!
