   I contacted Fred at MSD to enquire about sourcing material, as my vehicle previously had a roof lining fitted by this business from a previous owner. I asked whether he could either supply the material or simply tell me where it was originally sourced so that I could purchase it myself to match the bed board I am having made. He refused to provide this information, stated that the material is on back order and can’t get until 2026 and if he told me where it was from they wouldn’t sell it me anyway. He rudely put the phone down on me. Had the company been more helpful, I would have been pleased to leave a positive review, but I found the interaction extremely difficult and unprofessional. Based on this experience, I am glad I did not book my vehicle in for any work with them. Would it really have hurt to tell me where it was from ? Is this what people are really like nowadays.    Hi Fred and Staff. Thank you for your services on our Motor Home, strip out the gear box in order to access the clutch and replace. Firstly our problems started 100miles away when the clutch failed, I rang for recovery as part of our insurance and then I rang Fred at Moorlands self drive who I had met briefly once before and he kindly gave me his advice over a painting issue but I had never used his services. He left me with a good impression so I called him because I new his workshop was suitable for motor home work. Even though we would not be arriving home until between 8 and 9 pm Fred gave me his number and said just call me 30mins before you are due to arrive and I will come and open up for you. On the same night he booked me in to start the work exactly one week after we dropped the vehicle off but he instead rang me 6 days after dropping off the vehicle to say it was ready for collection. You don't have to be a mechanic to see how busy his workshop was so I was pleasantly surprised. Fred took the time to show me the damaged parts and what seemed to have caused the issue, even rang later after I had driven home to check all was good. Excellent customer service and workmanship, thank you very much!

   I hired a large van from here to use for my business for 24 hours. The van was clean, tidy and in really good condition...perfect for what I needed it for! I'd say their prices were a little more on the higher side compared to other companies, but the option to drop off the van over the weekend at their evening drop off time and not have to keep it for several days and pay for the privilege of taking it back at a time that suits me, actually saved me money in the long run, which was ideal! The gent i spoke tk was lovely and very helpful and I'd definitely hire a van from them again and would recommend them to others!

   Great service again at Moorland Self drive! They go out of their way to help and deliver first class service. Sourced a tyre for me locally and went out to collect it to get me back on the road while I waited at the garage. Great friendly local service.

   Wow, great service, great van, great price. On site secure parking for your own car. I only had to hire for one day at weekend, most of the big brands are Saturday to Monday with the extra cost and time off work. Friendly service, I think it was the owner I dealt with he was really helpful guy. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go anywhere else.

   To cut a long story short,, got the nod on a bargain furniture lot. Needed a van at about 2 hours notice.. Phoned around all the big players!! No luck . Never heard of the moorland clan,, but gave them a ring,, sorted me in half an hour..fantastic service, lovely genuinely warm people, superb vehicle, extremely competitive price, to be honest i won't go anywhere else now for a van, this moorland clan pulled me right out of the plop.. 100 %professional Many many sincere thanks..
