We have attended first stage for the past 8 years with our three daughters. During that time we have been made to feel welcome and our daughter’s dancing has drastically improved. All teachers are approachable and care about the children in their care. We cannot recommend First Stage enough.
Over the past two to three years, it has become increasingly apparent that there seems to be a clique within the studio. Unfortunately, this has led to an environment where customers outside of this clique do not feel valued or included. When we made the decision to withdraw our daughter from the studio after several years of patronage, it was quite disheartening to find that no one took a moment to thank us for our support over the years or even wish our daughter luck in her future endeavours. This lack of appreciation left us feeling quite disappointed. Regrettably, due to this lack of inclusivity and what we perceived as the arrogance of the ownership, I cannot recommend First Stage Dance to others. I hope this feedback will be taken constructively and lead to positive changes for the benefit of all customers.
Our daughters have had lessons at First Stage for over 15 years. It is extremely professional and friendly. The variety of classes, workshops and performance opportunities is second to none. The performing arts give children the opportunity to become more confident, resilient and learn how to work as a team member. They will get all of this at First Stage whilst making lots of new friends and having fun.
I started dancing at First Stage just before my 2nd birthday, I may be biased as my Mum is the Principal but without her and First Stage I would not be where I am today. First Stage has given me so many opportunities over the past 21 years from dance exams, competitions, shows and support with auditions for productions and for full time vocational training. Without First Stage I would never have gotten into my dream dance schools and colleges. It has given me the opportunity to have a career in the performing industry and for that I am forever grateful. Now I am also lucky enough to be apart of the First Stage teaching team so I can help other performers reach their full potential. First Stage caters for all and it is more than just a dance school we are a family. I couldn’t recommend First Stage enough!
My daughter and I have enjoyed being with First Stage for a decade now. The teachers are lovely and the training is fantastic. We also love being a part of the wider dance family of friends and parents.
Excellent dance school with talented dedicated teachers, who bring out the best in their pupils. Lot's of opportunities with exams, shows, competitions and workshops. My daughter loves coming here, it's like a big family and her confidence has improved immensely.
