   I have only just recently discovered the pure negligence that is ‘sparsholt college’. My daughter has been attending the equine course since September this year and has had nothing but sub standard support from the so called teaching staff. She was initially impressed by the open day and was really looking forwards to starting the next step on her educational journey. Having had numerous interactions with staff my daughter was made to feel completely isolated and bullied. This was then taken to the so called welfare representative which wasn’t taken seriously and was completely disregarded! Personally having connections within the education sector I’ve never heard of this before and I sincerely hope they address the many operational issues they have and have had for a while by the looks of all the reviews on their business page. Not good enough

   A bit of a poor experience studying here, didn't learn anything at the dog grooming salon. Poor tutorial by tutors, and poorly managed, wast of money. glad I left. The lady I believe to be called rebbecca the animal departments manager came across very strange and not normal. Avoid it here.

   AVOID! Absolutely awful 2 year spent studying here. This will be long but please read.. -Firstly I was assaulted (from behind and unprovoked) and ended up in hospital with severe injuries, despite having witness statements, paperwork from hospital and knowing exactly who assaulted me - Sparsholt did absolutely nothing! They couldn’t have cared less, I was unable to partake in practical lessons so my studying affected. - In my first yr we had no lecturer for a particular subject after they suddenly left 2/3 weeks in. Week after week we had different supply lecturers who would always announce they had absolutely no knowledge on this subject, we effectively taught ourselves from handouts and YouTube! (This was a mature group.. we were all paying for this!) - The entire course was shambolic. We had exam date/times changed constantly, nobody knew what was going on. At times we were turning up to exams without knowing what subject it was on. Course deadlines where also changed repeatedly meaning some coursework was rushed (sometimes the deadline was brought 2 weeks earlier) - PPE was a joke! We were only allowed to wear a polo shirt despite fleeces and hoodies behind advertised and staff swanning about it hoodies/fleeces/coats/hats/scarfs/gloves whilst we had to work outside in the dead of winter freezing in just T-shirts! Another waste of money on pointless PPE and no regard for pupil welfare. - Health and safety also a joke. I have a severe allergy which i was constantly making staff aware off. A student kept bringing my allergen into lectures causing me to have to leave and take jabs. The colleges answer? I SHOULD LEAVE AS ITS NOT A SAFE ENVIRONMENT!! Absolute joke, they made zero effort to speak to the pupil involved (who had been made very aware and was doing it on purpose) and instead decided I should study from home, making me have to fight for my place on the course. - I almost failed a course that required me to work with an animal, I had no pets at the time so was required to work with an animal on site. This was difficult as building work was going on and the site was closed to pupils. I explained to my lecturer that I couldn’t access an animal at all and zero effort was made to help me or extend my deadline. When I was able to access the onsite animals the one I was working with sadly passed away meaning I had to start over with a new animal. I was marked down to the lowest possible grade because I swapped animals and didn’t have as many weeks with that animal as everyone else.. completely out of my control and my lecturer knew this! - I fellow student failed as she couldn’t personally hand her last piece of coursework in due to a broken leg and being in hospital. I offered to collect the coursework from her and hand it in on her behalf, college wouldn’t allow this despite being aware of her situation. She asked to email it over and bring a physical copy over asap.. this again was denied. She failed the course she’d been studying for 2yrs because the college was not accommodating to her needs. - And the end of the course we had 2 weeks after exams etc. the college used this time to teach ‘life skills’ like getting a mortgage, writing a cv etc.. I had already found employment and (being a mature student) already had a mortgage, cv, been to job interviews etc. I arranged a meeting with the head of the course to ask permission to finish 2 weeks early so I could start my new job.. I was told no. I explained this job was a great opportunity for me and was a job relevant to the course. Again, denied. I was told that if I left he would make sure I failed. I left regardless, I didn’t fail. - My car was repeatedly damaged on site by either the massive potholes or (I saw from across the carpark someone (complete stranger) kicking my wing mirror off) also another student filmed that.. again, college didn’t care at all that my car was being damaged and as a student i had to find the money to repair it or I wouldn’t be able to get to/from college.

   I completed a 4 day tractor driving course at Sparsholt and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, Tim was brilliant, so patient and knowledgeable and a great guy with a clear passion for what he does.

   Been here for 2 years now. Terrible organisation and communication. The campus is great and lecturers are dedicated and knowledgeable, however be prepared for severe migraines every August and September, sometimes during the academic year as well. Advice for new students: try to be patient and do your best to get through.

   Extremely poor student support, despite hilding mental health awareness week and disability week, some lecturers still berate a student who suffers from anxiety bringing her down to tears, this is unacceptable. Due to this one teacher she has set the student right back by 2 years and now ruined the chances of the student completing the course as the student now will not go back. Discrimination, victimisation which is so unjust and illegal.

   Went to this college for two years, but really wish I hadn't. They use the opportunity to work with the animals to lure people in during open days but the college is mismanaged and students never have any idea what's going on. Some staff treated us as though we were in the wrong for being annoyed about how hectic management is, they're also very patronising and hypocritical. Some days I had to come in for nine hours just for a one hour lesson. Every time we complained nothing would get done, students are never taken seriously. My lecturers were friendly and I liked being in their lessons but it really wasn't worth the toll the college had on my mental health. Don't go to this college.

   The most unorganised and careless college going. Not all but some staff members were rude, and VERY CLEARLY held grudges against students which is unacceptable. Important information such as exam briefs, exam results and important feedback was giving late causing students to get extremely stressed and anxious. Students got blamed for things that were not their fault and lessons always got cancelled, even though, according to course leaders, lessons were not allowed to be cancelled. Pretty sure I spent more time sat around doing nothing due to cancelled lessons than actually being in lessons. Hated the long and painful 2 years I was there and 100% do not recommend this college:)
