   The most incredible nursery, with lovely, welcoming staff. Having gone to this nursery myself many years ago, it absolutely did not disappoint with my son. Returning to work and leaving your child in childcare for the first time is daunting but from day 1, my son felt settled and I feel so comfortable knowing he is having the best time and being cared for at the highest possible standard. They do fun activities with the children which vary all the time, indoor/outdoor play and are constantly interacting with the children. We receive updates throughout the day which is great in those early days when you are missing them a lot. My son has come on leaps and bounds from going to Mary Poppins and we will always be grateful for them giving him the best start in life by caring for him in these early years. If you are looking for an amazing nursery we would absolutely recommend Mary Poppins!

   Mary Poppins is a well-established private nursery in Mickleover that was registered in the early 90s. Since its establishment, June the principal has managed to attract the best of staff and personalities. She has created along with her brilliant team what I believe to be a nursery like no other. Our toddler settled in from day one with only one settling in session. It was magical. This is a credit to their kindness and experience with children. The atmosphere inside is like no other. The staff looking after the children do not change which is unheard of these days while most other nurseries in the UK that we visited are heavily reliant on temporary staff. My wife and I have observed great team dynamics. The staff always seem happy, friendly and they work as one. This enables them to enjoy looking after the children really well. The children at Mary Poppins are extremely happy. It was rare to see a child crying over the past year whenever we visited to pick up or drop off our toddler. I do not exaggerate if I say I do not recall hearing a child cry once. It is a sign of how great the atmosphere is. If you interact with the principal, the staff looking after the children and the managers, you'll know why the children are happy. Speaking to other parents, they also echo the sentiment that it is truly a one of a kind place. Thank you for everything June and the team.

   Have had both my children here from 8 months to school and it is wonderful. All the staff are very nurturing and caring, they address all the children’s needs very well from babyhood onwards and give them a good start in literacy and numeracy for school. It feels like a big family as the staff turnover is very low. Excellent all round.

   The staff are ignorant and park where they like regardless of the people who live on the street & have been told many times to find a safer place ie towards the bottom where the road is much wider
