Wiltshire College Salisbury campus in particular, i cannot speak on behalf of parents of individuals that go to other Wiltshire College campuses, but i cannot imagine any others are much better than the Salisbury campus. The staff in particular at this college are appalling. The way that they treat their students should seriously be investigated (if it already has been, what has been done about it? clearly nothing). Staff neglect students when it doesnβt convenience them to help them. I have been told by my young person that staff members will stand at the front of the classroom during a lesson, discussing students in a rather bad way - for all students in that class to hear. I think this is entirely unprofessional and it is completely strange to talk in that way about young people in front of their peers. Staff have also been known to comment on students appearances, refer to them as certain βnamesβ and comment on their intelligence in front of other students, when they are not there. Staff do not acknowledge individuals that deliberately disrupt lessons for other students and are clearly horrible to them (even right in front of staff), it is simply ignored as they clearly cannot be bothered to address the situation. Staff cannot manage their students and allow them to up and leave whenever they feel like it. Management and department leads never bother to get involved with anything, when complaints are made by parents or students regarding courses or teachers. You would quite frankly be incredibly lucky if you manage to get a reply from anyone when you have any issues at this college. A lady named Tina? made a comment to a student that my young person overheard while at college, calling them a βfailureβ and that was why they were not allowed into the final year of their college course. This woman needs to lose her job. Thankfully my young person is in their last year at this college so will be leaving soon, but i would seriously advise any parent, prospective student or other reading this, to avoid Wiltshire College at all costs. Even if you have to travel further to get them there, take your young person elsewhere. When my second child starts college in 2 years time, I will be signing them up for another college.

Donβt send your child here. They wonβt give you extra time even with the correct proof. They donβt do anything about badly behaved students, they say they will but wonβt. The timetables are also a mess. Students always kicked out of their classes for another class because no one knows where their classes are

Absolutely atrocious. The staff don't know the subject they teach. There is little to no equipment to use and little to no parts. (sockets switched etc for electrical) The course is read of PowerPoints and the tutor fails to teach when you don't understand something. The work boots don't make sense both in vocabulary and in dimensions. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND GO ELSEWHERE!

A dear friend of mine .A genius Graphic Designer !! Left in the middle of his two years there ! Due to the bullying of female students by teachers in A&D . This was over 40 years ago . Remember that Wiltshire Colleges was as dickensian back then as it is now ! There are plenty of courses from top colleges run online . That will give you a greater chance of success in your life .Without moving on from your home .Even the visual arts have seen a greater change .

My ucas application process during my course could have been made so much easier if the careers advisor explained the process. Instead, I only received help from my course teachers on my uni portfolio who knew little about the current ucas application process. I told my lecturers I was going to apply to the early ucas deadline before my course begun, yet I didnβt know a careers advisor even existed until nearer to the deadline. This left me extremely stressed by the deadline day as I was trying to get information from many members of staff. Results day too was disorganised as I had to phone the college for two hours trying to get them to sort out communication of my results to my university firm choice. Overall lots of disorganisation surrounding the ucas uni application process which could be made far more simple with more support and information to students from the beginning of the course.

All throughout of being enrolled here I only enjoyed one course and that was IT creative technology, my first course was a complete shambles, the tutor was brilliant but then she "suddenly" left and had about 2-3 other tutors that took her place, each one was worse than the other. I probably could got my GCSE Maths if I studied the course my lvl2 from day one but in foundation was "equality" so had to learn from the bottom, if I wanted to study higher I had to "study in my lunch/ break" due to lack of teachers, so why not transfer my math studies in mainstream than leaving me in the dark. I was at college for about 5 years ish and only enjoyed 2 of them

Terrible college. Doesn't care for your learning only after your money. I would rather defecate in my hands and clap. Better off traveling elsewhere for any type of education. Stay clear

The sad part is the rating is not reflective of the course or teaching staff. It is due to the lack of effort the marketing department has put into aiding me. They are in charge of the graduation ceremony for my degree. I have contacted via telephone and via email, as all my peers have received their invitations weeks ago and I have had nothing. They have tried to blame it on my email, but given that I received every other email from marketing regarding graduation, it is odd how the only one not to arrive for me is the official invitation and confirmation of my place. It is extremely sad my experience has ended like this as I was on the Student Union 3 years (1 of which being president), was a student ambassador and would often help at open events for the campus. It is a disgrace for marketing to fail the institute they represent and as a result I can not say I will promote the college the way I always have.
