   I'm in the market for a small power leisure craft and decided to complete the Powerboat Level 2 Certificate of Competence. Mike at Aboard Boat Coaching was recommended to me, and so I duly contacted him and booked the course. I have to say that from booking, right through to completing the course, Mike was very helpful and couldn't do enough. He made the entire course thoroughly interesting and I've certainly learned a lot - I definitely feel more competent on the water. It's refreshing to have someone so dedicated to providing an excellent service - nice one Mike! So, if there's anyone out there considering doing this very worthwhile course, making a call to Mike should be your first step - I 'm convinced you won't find better!

   Just completed the RYA Advanced Powerboat course with Mike Coulson who is a very experienced and knowlegeable instructor. Good theoretical instruction in the classroom with relevant anecdotes and very enjoyable and challenging day & night exercises in the boat. I really appreciated all the useful extra practical tips that Mike gave, many of which I'm sure fall outside of the curriculum. Plus of course a lovely lunch on the second day at Hythe Marina. This is my third course with ABC and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

   I’ve just completed the last of a three course package - first aid, vhf radio and intermediate power boat. Mike is a fantastic instructor with excellent facilities and knowledge. Just the tight balance between on the water and in the classroom. Nothing is too much trouble, if you struggle at any point you calmly try it again until you get it right. Thank you Mike, thoroughly recommended.

The classroom time is invaluable both for pottering about locally and travelling further afield.    The Power boat Level 2 course that we did with Mike at Aboard Boat Coaching was extremely informative & very enjoyable. Mike our instructor was professional with a good sense of humour, explained everything with care & ensured that we understood at all stages. The course was a good balance between essential classroom learning & being out on the water & I would suggest is ideal for anyone wishing to take a boat on the water for the first time, those wishing to brush up on their skills or for learning a new skill for enjoyment! The Marina & classroom facilities were lovely, clean & well organised. We now feel confident of venturing onto the water safely & in the knowledge that we are in control of our boat!
