I love it so much I love all the horses but absolutely devastated and angry the lessons are stopping i don't want to switch stables. im so mad
I’ve been taking lessons at Shedfield for over three months now, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Sam and the team are warm, welcoming, and genuinely supportive, making everyone feel at ease the moment they step onto the yard. I’ve had the pleasure of learning from Clare, Liz, Debbie, and Poppy—each of them brings a wealth of knowledge, a kind approach, and a real passion for teaching. The horses are beautifully cared for and full of character, offering a wide range of experiences for riders at any level.
I honestly can’t rave enough about Shedfield riding school, they have supported my daughter to grow and develop within horse riding, something I never thought my daughter would continue with. The staff are all so welcoming and even the girls they have helping on the yard. Everyone puts in their efforts and hard work. They are a business but they are also like family & friends to all their customers. Nothing is ever to small or too big. RDA approved school and have worked massively with my daughter and I can’t wait to see with their encouragement and support to where and how far my daughter continues to grow within horse riding.
My daughter first assessment lesson went well. Weather was a bit rainy but all was organised right. Kind instructors and very calm and friendly horse.
A lovely riding school with even lovelier staff. My children are always well looked after and we are always greeted by friendly helpful staff. The ponies are looked after incredibly well, and clearly love their job! The yard is always tidy and the girls on the yard are always happy to help with any queries. The office staff are always very helpful in person & over the phone. Especially the manager Sam, who always looks out for everyone and is happy to help anyone, anytime… even on her days off! We very much look forward to our next visit & couldn’t recommend this establishment enough.
Booked a lesson on certain horse . To be given different horse and lied to told horse has been worked today ,to then see that horse going in for lesson straight after my lesson .. and to book teacher for lesson who was told wrong time and have a 16/ 17 year old yard hand telling me what to do , they lie and just want your money , was rude and disrespectful and told go else were
Its been over 2 weeks since my daughter broke her arm here, when 3 horses became agitated and bucked 3 children off. No ambulance was called despite requests made. I am still awaiting copies of accident and witness forms, cctv footage, insurance details and any kind of explanation as to why this happened. When I telephone I’m told management is not available and they will call me back, they do not. I am told after they have a meeting regarding the incident I will be updated, I am not. I was happy for my daughter to attend here due to the fact the website states that they are BHS approved. This is false, British Horse Society have confirmed that they are not approved. Trading standards aware.
Brilliant riding school. We went for private lessons and my daughter has picked up so much in the time she's been there. A massive thank you to Liam, he's an amazing instructor.
Returned to riding after a 13 year break courtesy of a Mother's Day treat. Staff were friendly and the yard tidy. I had an amazing 30 minute private lesson on a well kept and easy going horse. My instructor was brilliant and I was impressed that after my lesson my horse cooled down with a slow walk around the arena. Thank you for a great experience!
Friendly and very welcoming staff. I have been learning for 4 months and every lesson has been amazing. My instructor is fantastic. I would recommend for anyone wanting to learn to ride, whatever age!!
