Just completed the beginner’s salsa course and absolutely loved it! The instructors Marchant and Emma were patient, encouraging, and made learning so much fun. The classes were well-structured, and I felt more confident with every session. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn salsa in a supportive and energetic environment!
I recently completed the 6 week beginners course at the Winchester studio. I joined the classes solo, I didn’t know a single person and Emma (instructor) was so warm and friendly. She put me at ease immediately. The lessons are well structured, instruction precise and easy to follow, but most importantly - fun! Even when you don’t grasp the steps immediately. They have created a lovely community too, I attended a social which was so much fun. Everyone was friendly and approachable and the dancing was amazing - even for a beginner I could join in alongside (and often with) the advanced. Highly recommend!
I was so lucky to discover Alchemy Dance. After the first six week course I was completely hooked. The atmosphere is friendly, kind and relaxed. The teaching is of an extremely high standard. They also provide an online service so if you prefer to learn at home, or put in extra practice you can. They also run lessons in Basingstoke and organise socials in both Winchester and Basingstoke. I’ve just returned from a weekend of salsa organised by Alchemy, brilliant fun. One person flew in from Texas to join us and other people came from all around the country! They kept telling us how lucky we are to have Davina and Marchant as our teachers - we know! Don’t let two left feet or a lack or rhythm put you off trying it.
If you are looking for a new hobby, a great way to meet new friends, a fun way to exercise or you just love dancing - try salsa. Marchant and Davina of Alchemy are not only great dance teachers, they are also genuine lovely people who have a passion for dancing. When you go to any Alchemy Salsa class be prepared to gain a new obsession and a new family. I can't recommend this highly enough. Don't be too shy to give it a go, it's a move you will never regret.
Marchant, Davina and the Alchemy team give you a place to learn salsa where everyone is welcome. Think you have 2 left feet? Salsa Winchester is the place to learn that you haven't. They have always got time for you and will make sure that you are not only learning to dance salsa but having fun at the same time. I've made some fantastic friends through dancing at Alchemy and am continually making new friends as more people join. If you want to learn salsa this is the place to be :)
If you want to learn salsa then you MUST learn with Alchemy. All of the teachers are so friendly and made me feel at ease immediately. Their way of teaching is really well structured and it's also fun! I have been salsa dancing for seven months now and Alchemy have helped me improve my confidence levels, learn a new skill and make lovely friends! The environment at Alchemy is great- such a buzzy atmosphere and a great style of teaching. If you don't learn Salsa with Alchemy you will regret it!!!
If you are considering trying Salsa and you live locally then you are in luck! Super friendly vibe and the best Salsa teachers you could wish for. I went along to my first class, all on my own, a year ago. It was very daunting but I've always wanted to try it. It was without doubt the best thing I have done in a very long time and I feel extremely fortunate to be part of this school and local salsa community. You will make friends, learn a beautiful dance from amazing teachers and have so many laughs along the way. Just one word of warning, it's very very addictive!
I have been learning Salsa with teachers Marchant and Davina for a few months now, its truly been a fantastic experience! The teachers at Salsa Winchester are highly skilled and will teach you all the basics you need in a friendly, welcoming and fun environment, breaking down movements clearly so they are easy to pick up. The social dancing time that follows the lesson is a great benefit, giving you time to 'lock in' the moves you have just learned, practising with other dancers. You can attend alone or with a partner, either way you soon feel at ease dancing with other people as there is a rotation system in the lesson that encourages this. I have loved meeting new people and discovering what salsa is all about!
