    Avanti website easy to use and policy prices are very competitive. However, the downside of Avanti, is if you need to submit a claim. It states on their website that 95% of claims have a decision made within 5 working days. My claim is still pending from 26.10.25. I have had 1 email in the early stages to apologise for the delay. I have rang them now 3-4 times, every time there is an excuse, even though they have confirmed that they have all the information required. I was informed that I would have a decision by 23/12/25. Did I receive a decision? No I did not, so I have now lodged a complaint with them.

    Arranged for my travel insurance quote on line and was pleasantly surprised with the lower prices compared to other companies. I needed £7200 cancellation cover and had two quotes, however, I had a query and phoned Avanti and spoke to a very pleasant lady, who then went through my quote with me and then pointed out that the cancellation cover was per person, which meant that I did not have to have the higher level of cover, which saved me around £100. Very good service, very pleased all round and recommend Avanti for travel insurance if you are in the over 70's age bracket.

Coverage & Booking: The policy was straightforward to purchase and appeared to offer decent coverage for my Spain booking at a reasonable price point. The terms were clearly outlined, and I felt adequately covered for my trip. Communication: One aspect I genuinely appreciated was their proactive communication. Throughout the period leading up to and during my trip, Avanti sent regular updates at appropriate intervals. These included policy confirmations, reminders about coverage details, and helpful travel information. It's reassuring to know they maintain contact with customers rather than just disappearing after taking payment. Claims Experience: Fortunately, I didn't need to file any claims during my trip, so I can't speak to how they handle that process. However, the fact that everything went smoothly and I had peace of mind knowing I was covered was worth it.

    We have an annual travel policy with Avanti. Because we are "old" and want to go on an 8 week trip including a cruise, this policy will not cover us. I did some preliminary research and obtained a single trip quote that would cover us for the various countries. I didn't follow through but Avanti did. First with an email and SMS then the next day with a phone call. Well the Welsh agent that called proved to be very helpful, with good product knowledge. he guided me through what we wanted and I bought the policy. Excellent service and "not a bot".

    This is my first time using Avanti travel insurance. I found their rates very competitive and quick administration. I have travelled to many places all over the world, hoping I wont want to claim because it would my first.

    Got diagnosed with cancer halfway through my policy and was told that not only would they not cover me but my policy was void. Refused to give me a refund for the period of the policy still outstanding as they said it was against their terms & conditions. Absolutely outrageous. I would avoid this company like the plague.

    I was invited today to write a review and when I clicked the link it didn't work. I wasn't bothered about writing a review but when asked and emailed - it rankled. I bought an annual Covid 5* policy last year for £500. In June 2022 a wedding in Canada was cancelled because the bride and groom got Covid and we had to cancel the airline tickets. Despite being the cheapest and non cancellable tickets the airline offered, the airline choose to give us a credit voucher and therefore Avanti refused to pay out on our insurance. We are now left with a sizeable credit voucher with an airline we would never use. To make matters worse, in order to use the voucher, we must fly and touch down in Canada before any onward travel. Looks like the travel industry has all stitched up.

    Easy to arrange, cover available at different levels and if needed like sports or cruising. I felt it offered value for money. Didn't need to make a claim so I cannot comment on their claims response. I did have peace of mind during my holiday that I was covered for emergencies.

    Our baggage was delayed by 3 days while attending a family wedding in the US. We needed to get some replacement clothes, shoes for the occassion. Avanti reviewed the claims and refunded the money - no questions asked. Really good service.

    Avanti (although when i booked the insurance the company were insure and Go who I had used many times before) very helpful in booking holiday insurance but when it comes to making a claim they are not good at all. Cannot speak to anyone to help you, everything has to be done via post or email. My claim form was sent via Special Delivery with Royal Mail costing nearly £7 who assure me that the delivery was signed for and that was on the 20th July 2022 but still heard nothing from Avanti. I am disgusted.
