Academia is not my thing. Never has been, never will be. Although there is an element of academia with Moorlands, the support and community outshines the academic pressure. The staff are as kind as you could imagine and put the students first in everything they do. I couldn't recommend Moorlands enough for studying there!

I may have studied here donkey's years ago! But what a fabulous grounding it gave me for life and for following my calling into full time Christian work, both paid as an employee of a church and now as a Christian working in a secular environment. The volleyball tournaments and fancy dress parties were not to be missed! Nor was watching the static flash between the lights in the dining room or watching a cow give birth outside the dining room window! I developed an interest in Greek and Hebrew, began to understand the complexities of many of the trickier books of the Bible and how to present my faith with boldness yet with humility and love for those I share it with. Jesus never forced his ideas on anyone but he was no pushover either. God grant that I become more like him.

I did my undergrad at Moorlands, loved it SO much and now I am currently in my dissertation year for my MA. Lovely staff, great facilities and a wonderful place to learn about God and grow in faith.

I have just been there for the open day and it's absolutely fantastic. The team, the place, the vision... all for the Kingdom.

What can I say other than Moorlands completely transformed my life. I started my theology degree shortly after coming to faith and particularly my first year my life was changed. The lecturers are incredible. I lived on campus first year, campus based living off site and placement based for the third year all three options worked for me. The learning support team were incredible and the support of them and the lecturers meant I left with a solid 2.1 degree having no previous belief in my academic ability. After Moorlands I landed a role in full time ministry and the college have continued to encourage me, I can’t wait to now return this year on the masters programme.

I graduated from Moorlands in 2020. I was a placement student based at the Sopley Campus. The teaching was excellent and the lecturers were very approachable and knowledgeable. It was hard work, but the facilities and support team were brilliant. The food was also excellent. I highly recommend this college, which has a strong Christian ethos both inside and outside of lectures. The staff also arranged many community initiatives involving the care of the homeless and supporting local churches with their outreach projects. There is also a chance of going abroad for summer placements in foreign churches and missionary work. The chaplains were also great and extra support for learning disabilities was fantastic. I left with a faith that had grown exponentially and many skills needed for work as a graduate.
