   I recently heard the news regarding Greyfriars Nursery, and my heart genuinely goes out to the staff members and families affected. However, as a parent who previously had a child enrolled there, both my wife and I were extremely dissatisfied with the standard of care. In our experience, the health and hygiene protocols were consistently neglected to a point where the environment felt like a breeding ground for repeated infections. Our child experienced serious health issues, and despite providing medical evidence, we were still forced to pay fees. The management appeared uninterested in listening to parental concerns or maintaining consistent health guidelines. Since moving our child to a new nursery, the difference has been significant — the care, cleanliness, and overall environment are on a much higher level, and this direct comparison reinforces our concerns about Greyfriars. While a few staff members were genuinely hardworking and caring, many of them eventually left, which also speaks volumes.

   I just want to say how amazing the support my son had at this nursery, he was only there about a year but developed so much, my son has special needs and needed a EHCP going to school the senco made sure my son had everything he needed to get the best start he could in going to school and planning for his future. The staff in the term time nursery was good, knew what my child had done every day and could inform me if anything had happened that I needed to know. I’ve never had any concerns and my son has always been well supported. Even when the term time nursery had to close for whatever reason that may have been the staff always spoke to me and tried to offer me other sessions if they could. The nursery have a great garden and do lovely activities with the children. I would highly recommend this nursery. Please don’t just read the bad reviews and get put off we had a great time at this nursery and I would recommend you see for yourself and make up your own opinion. Thank you again you all are amazing and do a great job!!!

   Greyfriars Has been great for my daughter, she has thrived throughout the setting, received support from many staff in the nursery and i am thankful for the support, care and guidance received throughout our time at Greyfriars. Highly recommend!

   If you’re thinking about sending your child to the funded side (term time only) do not! They do not acknowledge any of the children on that side or the room in general. When under staffed they are quick to shut down that room. Management barely go into the term time side or acknowledge it and their SENCO is awful. A staff member in particular Lucy is rough towards children.

   I am absolutely thrilled to share my experience with Greyfriars Nursery, where my daughter has been attending since she was one year and four months old. My daughter is now three years and eight months old, and as she prepares to join school this coming September, I reflect on our wonderful journey with the nursery. As a mother, there’s no greater joy than seeing your child happy and thriving in an environment they love. Greyfriars Nursery has provided exactly that for my daughter, and in turn, has given me immense happiness and peace of mind. I am extremely satisfied with the nursery for its exceptional communication and exemplary staff, in my view. Starting from the caregivers in the baby room to the staff managing meals and cleanliness, My daughter adores everyone. Each day, there’s something exciting for the children to do. Remarkably, despite her young age when she started, my daughter has never once cried when I’ve left her there. She’s always incredibly happy when I come to pick her up. As we approach this new chapter of my daughter starting school, I wholeheartedly recommend Greyfriars Nursery to other parents. As a very satisfied mother, I can confidently say that your child will be in excellent hands here. The environment is nurturing, engaging, and just fantastic for young minds to grow and flourish.

   I started working at Greyfriars at the end of November 2022 and I can honestly say it feels like I have been here years. All the staff, parents, and children have made me feel so welcome. All staff are always there with a listening ear should you need it. My daughter has a major operation towards the middle/end of the year and the management has been amazing at being considerate towards this and offering me advice in other sen areas with my daughter. Taking away the fact that I work here if I was looking at Greyfriars as a potential nursery for my daughter if she were younger I would 1000% bring her to Greyfriars - why because all the staff aim to get the children to thrive at a level they are capable of, hygiene standards are very high, the food is nourishing and always more than enough there, staff have great communication with the parents contacting them during the day should this be necessary and giving a full hand over when they come to pick up their child, the garden is spacious and allows the children to use their imagination to the fullest, overall Greyfriars has everything I would personally look for.

   My little one is going there from her 7 months. It’s like a second home to her. All of the staff are really supportive and they provide her with so much care, attention and positivity. I would highly recommend Greyfriars day nursery to anyone looking for a nursery in the area and I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful and happy environment for my daughter.

   My child has been going to this nursery since the age of one. Had a very positive experience, my child got along very well with the nursery staffs. The nursery provides frequent updates on child development. My child has grown with confident. Even during the weekend my kid misses the nursery time.

   We started our daughter in the nursery when she was 19 months old. We chose this nursery since it was close to home and has Ofsted Good rating. We visited the nursery and liked the setting and the staff. The nursery is clean and well-maintained. The garden has lots of space for free play. I'm writing this review after a month of starting our daughter with the nursery. Even though, she hasn't fully settled in yet, she is making a good progress and has a couple of good days a week. The nursery staff and the management are immensely helpful in settling our daughter and they are always reachable to answer any of our queries.

   My son started going to this nursery during the pandemic when he was 9 months old. He is now almost 2.5 years old and his development under the care of the very friendly and professional staff of the nursery has been incredible. He has a food allergy and yet we never had any issues which goes to show how careful and attentive the keyworkers are. Both staff and management have always been very accommodating, always willing to help. I would strongly encourage you to not just read the reviews, go and see for yourselves before you make a decision.
