   Our 10yr old long haired GSD had been with our previous groomer for 8 years, so when she had to sadly stop grooming large dogs we were worried we just wouldnt find anyone who could groom Dre as he should be. After an AWFUL experience with a groomer we tried who hacked at his coat and lost all his definition, we were recommended to try the lovely ladies at Hair of the Dog. Best decision we ever made. They knew exactly how to work with his coat, they were very honest about whether Dre's coat could be saved back to how it was, and the time it may take. Dre loves the ladies, they know exactly how a long haired GSD should be cut, and how their coat should be at length. He always smells gorgeous when he comes out and is happy to trot in at his visits. I would highly recommend all the girls, friendly, chatty, and clearly love what they do!

   My partners Hearing Assistance Dog goes here every 8 weeks. She always looks great after her groom, and never shows signs of being upset by the experience. The staff are all very friendly and there is easy parking. We just picked her up from her latest groom, and this time they also did some teeth cleaning, so she smells all appley!

   Lovely people, I have been taking my dog here for 5 years since he was a puppy. He is a Chinese Crested Powderpuff and Dee grooms him to perfection and I know she researched the breed which I thought was really commendable. I highly recommend them.

   After a bad experience at pets at home, I have struggled to find a place where my pooch won't attack anyone while having his nails trimmed. Thankfully, and at last he did not attack anyone, his nails were done in a flash and he was very comfortable the whole time. Not only did I finally find a place where they treat him nice, they left him so handsome. I will definitely come back again, thanks to the staff who took care of him and make him look handsome.

   Had the most horrible experience. I went to pick my boy up and he seemed out of sorts. When I got him home I could see that his face was a mess and he couldn’t open one of his eyes. I was shocked to see they had cut his eyelashes completely off one eye. My poor boy was anxious and clingy all day and then to top it all when I checked my email I noticed I was quoted £27 but charged £40. All round dreadful experience.

   Would recommend the Team at Hair of the Dog to anyone! The friendliness of the staff and knowing that your furkid is going to be left in good hands is always reassuring. Not only do they take on board your requests for the desired result, they also always have a host of hints and tips about animal husbandry which, whilst not a vet view on things, is always good to learn from. Recently, our dog needed a medicated shampoo treatment and they were more than happy to do the weekly treatment whilst he was booked in with them. The dogs there always seem happy with the staff too! For us it is lovely to have such an amazing groomer so close to home. Keep doing what you are doing guys!! It is much appreciated!!
