   I was recommended Simpson Jones by a friend. I have to say that buying a house is a really stressful experience and they did everything on my behalf. The sellers solicitor was really difficult to deal with and wasn't very responsive. The staff at Simpson Jones chased several times a day to get the process moving. They also stayed late on a Friday night to get my contract exchanged. They are very thorough and translate everything for you into a report for ease to understand. The costs were very reasonable too, to say all the effort that had to go into this process. They come very highly recommended from me!

   We have recently sold with the help of Simpson and Jones solicitors. It’s the third time over a decade we have chosen this company. Joanna Jones takes time to oversee the process and is often available herself . Otherwise we spoke with a very helpful member of the team named Cat . Every question and query we had was answered with fast response. We had a cash buyer waiting to buy our river side unique home , and wanted to work with a solicitor that’s straight talking and efficient. From our experience of other solicitors in the past none have delivered as well as Simpson and Jones . The whole team are fantastic and faultless in our opinion and worked hard . A big thank you from us .

   Not one to usually write reviews but I feel working in the property industry myself that it is important that people can read reviews before deciding to work with a company. They aren’t acting for myself but unfortunately the people we are buying from are which is having a massive impact on the progress of our purchase. Been told I can’t make a complaint directly to them as I’m not their client. Very very slow at progressing with any conveyancing matters. Our purchase has been going on since the middle Of may and still no date has been given to when we are likely to be moving! Been told by our estate agent that the case handler had changed half way through the transaction which meant the file had been overseen. There is lots of instances where they have not acted in a timely manner which is causing us long delays in getting anywhere! The latest example is our solicitor sent over some final enquires 2 weeks ago today and they still haven’t had a response! These were only sent to the seller after 6 days who replied back to them the next day. As of yesterday these still haven’t been forwarded on to my solicitor! I understand things won’t be picked up and dealt with the same day but for it to take over 2 weeks is not acceptable. We are now on a tight deadline due to mortgage offers and help to buy survey expiry dates approaching and to be honest we have no faith that this will be sorted in time! If at capacity and cannot effectively deal with the client base you currently have then it would be advised to not take on any more cases until you can deal with the ones you have correctly. I’m writing this in hope that a miracle happens and we can move this forward to completion!

   From the moment I requested a quote through to completion, the service from Simpson Jones has been absolutely outstanding. Elly and Lucy were simply incredible – professional, efficient, and always one step ahead. They seamlessly managed the sale of my house, dealing with the inevitable little bumps in the road without troubling me unnecessarily. Their communication was second to none – I never waited more than an hour for an email reply, and the app gave me a really clear visual reference of the progress being made. As completion approached, Elly kept in regular contact by phone and did an exceptional job managing some very poor solicitors further down the chain. She handled everything with skill and professionalism, keeping the whole process moving. On completion day, even my buyer commented that he wished he’d instructed Elly! I honestly couldn’t recommend Simpson Jones highly enough – they made what could have been a stressful process smooth and straightforward.

   DO NOT USE AT ALL COSTS Do not use this company at all cost. Oliver James is not a qualified solicitor I wouldn’t trust him to park my car let alone deal with any legal issues. James has sent through paperwork that was for the completely wrong house which by law, we can sign and now own. He also lies to the letting agents telling them he has sent documents and are waiting for us to respond, then admits he never sent it. Send through the wrong price, the wrong house, over priced for a job a cleaner could get right. He should be sacked.

   First time I’ve used these solicitors and as a client I felt I had to do the chasing and work for the sale of my house. Six months on still not completed. Very slow and very reactive rather than proactive, communication is non existent and I had to do ALL the chasing. Value for money? I wouldn’t even bother these guys nearly lost the sale of my house as they DO NOT work quick or effectively. Poor service avoid!
