The place itself is spacious light and airy, which helps, with plenty of parking. Jo was amazing! The process was really thorough, which was quite emotionally and mentally challenging but Jo was so supportive throughout the whole process. She was empathetic and understanding but so efficient. I needed the reports quickly for university and she ensured that we had completed each assessment and all the paperwork with plenty of time to check for errors and clarity. I really felt she wanted the best for me and had the right mix of efficiency and empathy. I have already started verbally recommending her to people and couldn't recommend her more to be honest. She was brilliant!

The sessions feel more like (steered) friendly chats than tests and I didn't want them to end. It is hard to walk away, which probably says all you need to know. If you're looking for a private autism assessment as an adult it is likely things are not going too well, but you've decided you have to know. I found the process to be sensitive, compassionate, thorough and professional. It is of note that in addition to the screening questionnaires, there is one large one which captures a lot of the relevant information up front. While difficult and time consuming to complete, you have to do some homework, the effort pays dividends as it then takes so much pressure off the session(s). It is also possible to provide additional relevant information in writing if it occurs to you a few days later. Jo will also seek input from any therapist you have. The quiet rural location, easy parking, interesting building and meeting room on the north side (no sun or bright lights) was calming. The Petersfield location was also easier to find and park at than I feared, in another deceptive building with an unassuming entrance. The report is comprehensive, detailed and should be recognised by yourself, who may need convincing, and whoever you choose to show it to. I would recommend Jo, Charlie and team without hesitation. It is hard to see how it could be done better. For some reason it can be hard to see autism in yourself, so the realisation may come with a lot of emotional pain and there is no magic wand at the end, but the process has been as nice as it could have been. (It may be useful to know that should you be mistaken and clearly not have autism, after the initial session and c.15% of the fee, Jo will tell you so you are not liable for the whole amount.)

I had an extremely positive experience with receiving an adult assessment with Join Psychology. Jo was accommodating and understanding throughout, I couldn't recommend her enough. Everything was patiently explained to me in detail which was great piece of mind. Incredibly grateful and thankful for the validation I have received from undergoing an assessment here.

Last year, I had an excellent experience with Jo and her service on my journey to being diagnosed as autistic. I would recommend Join Psychology to anyone who is questioning themselves in terms of whether they are autistic, particularly women like me. The following are a few of the highlights of the service for me, which will hopefully help others decide if Jo is the right practitioner for them: - Jo and her colleague Charlie both made me feel very comfortable during my sessions when I was feeling quite anxious - Jo adapted my sessions to me, being very understanding of my mental health condition (OCD) and how I needed more time to fill in questionnaires and more support. My therapist also was able to come along to two sessions with Jo, before and after my diagnosis β an outstanding level of support! - Jo created a very detailed report of my ASC which I could choose to pass on to who I wished and which has really helped me to understand myself - Jo is clearly an expert in what she does and made me feel particularly confident as an autistic woman. She provided excellent post-diagnostic resources for me with suggestions on how to get used to my diagnosis Thank you again to Jo and her team!

I discovered Join Psychology when navigating the National Autistic Society website under the βAutism service directoryβ and then carrying out my own research too. It didnβt take me long to realise that this was the place for me! Jo and her team were wonderful for me to be able to untangle and navigate my own personal complexities. I knew how I felt, but I never really could understand why I felt the way I did at times. Every time I came away from Jo I left with a sense of feeling understood. Jo helped me so much to figure things out. Join Psychology carry out a thorough range of comprehensive discussions and assessments over a series of weeks wrapped up within a very calming and relaxing environment. I highly recommend Jo and her team. You are treated as an individual and not a number. Thank you once again Jo and to all your team. I canβt thank you enough! Rob

I cannot say how happy my wife and I are that Jo was the clinician we chose. For my entire life I had struggled to understand who I was and why the world was different to me than to those around me. Her professionalism, tenacity, attention to detail and compassion go beyond words. The fact I left with the 'label' of Autism is not a bad thing. It has enabled me to become who I really am and that with an understanding of what I need to do to improve the quality of not just my life but that of my wife also. Ultimately, it has turned my life up the right way, and for that I cannot find the right words other than thank you.

I would definitely recommend Join Psychology to any female seeking an autism diagnosis. My daughter felt at ease with Jo and Harriet. They were professional, knowledgeable, helpful and supportive during the process and after. We received an extremely detailed report and lots of guidance for next steps for our daughter. Thank you Jo.

I came to Jo for an ASD assessment as I saw she had experience with females (I feared not being listened to elsewhere, as from the outside I can appear to have no struggles). She was very thorough and the process was quick compared to current NHS wait times in this area. I walked away knowing a lot more about myself and the follow up report was very detailed. Jo has also offered to answer any questions in future I may have and has given me guidance off the back of my diagnosis, which is also very helpful. Thank you for all of your help.

My daughter and I had a lovely experience working with Jo (and her colleague Harriet) for an ASD assessment. Jo was very patient and kind, extremely knowledgeable, very vigilant with the diagnostic process, super responsive to questions and concerns, and made us feel comfortable and looked after through the whole experience. The report she has provided is extremely thorough and will go a long way towards helping her in the future. I would strongly recommend seeking help from Join Psychology.
