   I had to go to Aberdeen for a university conference at King's College, and I found the nicest place! After a long trip, I was a bit confused about where the entrance was, but I was quickly directed to the reception and figured it out. A heads-up: Google Maps doesn't lead you directly to the reception, so pay attention! The lady at the reception was very kind, asking about my trip and how I was doing, which made me feel welcome. The place is truly unique, as it's part of a church adapted into a B&B. My room was charming, clean, and well-equipped with a TV, tea/coffee supplies, and an electric kettle. I also found an iron and ironing board, which could come in handy. Breakfast was served in a lounge every morning. It was basic but good, with bread and everything you'd need. The university was about a 30-minute walk away, making it conveniently close to the city center. I often returned late at night, and although the surroundings were a bit eerie, everything was fine. The path back to the entrance takes you through a courtyard, which can feel a little unsettling, but the lamps light up the way as you walk. I slept well, cozy, and without much noise—just the occasional sound of footsteps from the floor above. During the daytime, the building is fascinating, especially from the outside, where it looks like a little castle. I want to highlight how understanding the staff was on my last day. I mistakenly thought I needed to check out a day later than I was supposed to, but they weren't upset. I paid £25 for returning the key card late, and they even helped me book another room for one more night. I would have loved to stay for the Sunday service at the nearby church if I'd had more time! Overall, I highly recommend this place. It's not a 5-star hotel, and it doesn't claim to be. There are small areas for improvement, and you might notice a few aesthetic imperfections, but these don't affect the quality of service. I recommend it and would choose to stay here again.

   From the minute we turned up the place was a nightmare. Despite being told check in was at 3, we were left locked outside until 3:45 unable to phone or contact the property. Once inside we were met by unhygienic staff who showed us to our tired and dated room. Although it wasn’t spotless it was clean enough and towels were provided when asked for. The biggest issue was the lack of beds, there was only 1 double bed for a room that was booked for 3 people. We were told by staff the that an additional single bed would be added before we returned at night, but that never happened meaning one of us had to sleep on the floor. Overall a poor hotel which I would recommend avoiding.

   Room ok for overnight stay. Very clean but no wardrobe. Water flow and temperature control in the shower was good. Coffee n tea making facilities in the room. Continental breakfast included, is left outside your room in the morning around 7:00am. Staff are great, very friendly polite and helpful.

   Not very friendly in fact saw no one after I arrived, even when I left there was no one there. Breakfast was poor, left outside the door. I didn't like the cereal on the first morning so they didn't give me any the next day. No butter 1st day, butter 2nd day but no cutlery.

   I paid for a delux room, however, it was not. Hole in the duvet, no hair dryer just the diffuser, cover, only 4 analogue TV channels, no digital so nothing to watch. Reception was only around for short periods of time which unfortunately didn't coincide with my returns to the room. Only benefit was free parking but next time I'd pay the slight increase and stay somewhere else.

   I went to stay there with my boyfriend for a night, when i went into the room it was nothing like advertised and looked completely different. in the bathroom there was a used bar of soap, the bath had hairs in it and the shower looked like it hadent been cleaned in years. the bed sheets while they felt clean, had a big orange stain on the pillow case and the towels had black markings on them. the breakfast was pretty bad the only thing that was good was that the receptionist was polite.

   Amazing place... If you're looking for the Ritz Carlton, The Dorchester or Four Seasons this is NOT the place for you. If you are looking for a clean, inexpensive place to lay your head with a basic breakfast then this is the place. We spent two nights here and will 100% be back. God Bless The Father's House!
