   Shameful example of a Solicitors. Never answer any phone line, direct dial or even the reception. Leave messages, never to be returned. Unable to communication in any form that would be considered reasonable. I advise any elderly people requiring assistance to go in search of a company who can demonstrate compassion and good fair communications.

   Matt Gilks at Thrings LLP did an awesome job coming to my rescue literally a couple of days before Christmas 2019 and days before I was obliged to respond to being named in a High Court case as an 'interested party'. When I first earlier learned of the matter, I had not appreciated the urgency to respond, until somebody brought this to my attention and who introduced me to Matt. Within hours of having had a free urgent consultation with Matt and having confirmed I wished him to help me, within about 24-hours he had prepared a detailed submission and had engaged a specialist barrister to present my position to the High Court. The case was then considered by a leading High Court Judge in January 2020 who ruled in favour of the 'defendant' and myself as an 'interested party'. Following that, Matt was able to recover a good part of my legal costs. I can't thank Matt enough for coming to my rescue at a time when most organisations were winding down for Christmas and likewise thank the excellent barrister Matt engaged. I would certainly recommend Matt to anybody who might find themselves in a difficult situation and I will certainly be looking for Matt's help in the future should I ever find myself in a similar situation again.

Special thanks go to Matt Gilks who’s been exceptional in terms of his knowledge, skill and genuine willingness to help. He has demonstrated virtuosity on many levels including analysing and understanding the case, producing high quality documents (draft did not require any amendments!) and building relationships over the phone with all parties involved. I find it uncommon for somebody to cover so broad spectrum of expertise to such a high standard and it was simply a delight to work with Matt both on professional and personal level.
