   ⭐ 1 Star Serious Professional Concerns I signed up with TaxAssist Basingstoke after seeing that the Principal’s public LinkedIn profile stated “TaxAssist Accountants Basingstoke · ACCA”. ACCA has since confirmed he is not in their register and have opened a formal false claim investigation. On top of that, I experienced incorrect billing, an attempted direct debit of £1,521 in error, unprofessional communication, and several inaccuracies in their financial records. Refund still outstanding. I would advise caution. --- Totally factual. Completely defensible.

   Great company to help with my self assessment. Got the job done quickly and efficiently. It was Sam who completed the tax return for me who was great! He made the whole experience easy and not daunting at all. Will use again if I need to do any more SA's! Highly recommend!

   I spoke with Sam who was very professional. My personal tax question was answered over the phone during a 10 minute conversation. Sam provided excellent answers. Should I need further more complex advice, they will be top of my list.

   I tried to talk to the gent at Tax Assist in Basingstoke and the customer service was hideous. Not sure if he was having a bad morning but I literally spent 30 seconds in the shop before leaving. I wasn't even able to speak to him to ask him for help and he just said "I'm busy, Good bye". Maybe he thought I was somebody else. Never been in before and never had any previous dealing with them so it was a very bizarre situation. Won't be going back and my advice would be to find someone more polite. UPDATE: Thank you for the response. This may be where the confusion was. I wasn't selling anything. My review is based on my personal experience of one human interacting with another human as a civil human being. I appreciate you having the courtesy to respond to me though. Merry Xmas.

   I have used TaxAssist for a number of years and highly recommend them. They are always easy to discuss items with giving good helpful advice. Always respond to emails, phone calls etc.very promptly which is really welcome in this day and age where you seem to find yourself either constantly hanging on a phone or chasing replies to emails. The services that they offer are very price competitive which is very welcome.
