Visited this restaurant recently and was truly impressed by the lovely food – every dish was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The venue itself is idyllic and unusual, with a charming atmosphere that really sets it apart from the typical dining experience. However, despite the fantastic setting and cuisine, the overall experience was let down by the staff. Service felt inattentive and at times unwelcoming, which was disappointing given the high standard set by the food and ambiance. With more focus on hospitality and customer care, this place could easily be exceptional. Would definitely return for the food, but hope to see improvements in the service side.

From the moment we arrived at The Safari Bar, it felt like stepping into a little slice of Africa in the heart of the countryside. Food: Absolutely outstanding – fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Every dish tasted like it had been prepared with real care, and the menu had just the right balance of creativity and comfort. Service: Warm, welcoming, and effortlessly professional. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive, anticipating what we needed without ever being intrusive. It felt like they genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible. Atmosphere: Magical. The safari-inspired setting, rolling countryside views, and the sound of polo in the background made it feel completely unique. Whether you’re here for sundowner drinks or a full evening of food and music, it’s the kind of place that leaves you smiling long after you’ve left. Can’t wait to come back – this place is a real gem.

Amazing food and decor, special mention to Georgie and Carla who were prompt and welcoming with their service. I had the half spatchcock chicken with harissa mayo and burnt lemon and it was really tasty, extra points for the crispy chicken skin and generous portions. Sadly no polo on the night I was there but it gives me another reason to return!

Came here for my mums low key hen do. Can’t fault it. Absolutely amazing would come 100 times more. We turned up and drinks were offered immediately. And we went outside for photos and to enjoy the sun. They then asked us when we wanted food and we quickly gave them our order. The only shame was the polo horses had been stuck in traffic but they walked a few horses over for a photo and a cuddle. Which was super nice. We sat for food and it was delicious. Atmosphere was amazing with the singer and she even wished my mum a happy wedding. Offered desserts which was super tasty. At the end of the evening we were just enjoying the music and drinks. Communication was amazing via WhatsApp and had no problems what so ever. Thanks for making my mums night so special.

Thank you to all the staff for providing my daughter and son In law for the most perfect setting for their wedding day. The staff provided us with impeccable service. The kindness and thoughtfulness that they gave to our family was second to none. I really did not want the day to end. Each and every detail was just perfect. Thank you all so much. Everyone commented on how wonderful you all were. The food was delicious ! I hope you are all having a well deserved rest today.

Lovely venue however we had a big mix up with our order which resulted in our menu choices being lost. Staff did apologise and try to make good but this resulted in us all eating at different times. Dessert was lovely and overall staff made the effort to make the situation better.

Great spot, fabulous views out across the countryside as the sun sets, charming staff, good food and different from the usual fare. Worth a visit IMHO!

We visited The Safari Bar last summer. A gorgeous and exotic heady mix of Polo playing with fabulous Spanish food. It's a rural pop up style African Savannah type affair hosted at The vO Polo Club. The Welland Valley is absolutely gorgeous. Dine and view the beautiful natural trees and stunning sunsets. This really is the ultimate al fresco restaurant and bar experience. If you want a memorable night out with friends, date night or an impressive business dinner, then this is the place. Unusual and exotic open air safari themed clubhouse, romantic balcony & chill out terrace allow you to enjoy sundowners and a selection of tapas and other gourmet Spanish delicacies overlooking the incredible and soul feeding countryside vistas. There is also a couple of private dining African huts for 8. And of course, polo on most evenings to enjoy for those horse mad diners. Unforgettable, unmissable and simply fabulous
