   My mother is beyond happy with the repair of her clock. It was a sentimental piece and the hands were accidentally broken. Came to the jewellers and they were friendly and repaired it for her really quickly, and for a very decent price. She’s asked me to post a review as she’s very happy it’s fixed and back on her mantle. Thank you for a friendly, efficient and cost effective service.

   I have just collected my new ring using an old family ring which meant a lot but was a very old fashioned style. Bloor came up with a new design using my existing diamonds. Couldn’t be happier with the design, price and product. Bloor always delivery a fantastic individual and professional service no matter how big or small the requirement!

   I took a sentimental amber and silver drop earing to be repaired where I had dropped it and there was a clean break in the stone close to the top of the droplet. It needed two-pack jewelry glue to bond it back together. When I collected the item there was a visible glue line across the amber (glue line shown in pictures) and the whole piece was matt with glue residue. I said I wasn't happy. They took it back to clean it up and came back to me a few minutes later having shattered the whole amber droplet (final damage done in pictures compared to other earing also shown). I was furious, they'd done shoddy work and then continued to destroy the whole piece of jewelry in a bodged fixing attempt. The lady behind the counter then started to go on about how this never happens, they never do bad work and they'll take both earing and source different amber for them. I demanded my items back. I wasn't letting them near my earings again for a third round of disappointment. Bad enough the damage done, but to stand there and justify themselves poured petrol on the dumpster fire of bad service already given.

   I have had the pleasure of dealing with this lovely shop on a few different occasions now. Mr Bloor and his team have carried out adjustments and repairs to a few items of my jewelry making it possible for me to wear the items again. More recently I have purchased two beautiful rings from the stunning collection that the shop has on display. The staff are knowledgeable, and go out of their way to help. For beautiful jewelry with first class customer service, I highly recommend James Bloor in Tilehurst.

   If your looking for something special or different to suit you , they have a wide selection at affordable prices. The lady at the counter is so friendly and helpful compared to the normal chain stores who just want your money instead of finding something personal to suit you like this lady does at James Bloor. There's no other jewellery shop I would go to.
